BenBB Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Man that is funny.... I think we are flying out of las cruses (sp?) but we are staying at Deming in a hotel. The whole minigun and live firing range cool but I think we are just getting our 9mm. :yankyank: I sure hope there is a couple of good bars there? Hmm Deming's pretty small so I wouldn't expect much from the local watering holes, Cruces has alot more to offer, college town and growing exponentially. My grandfather's Glasair is hangered at Las Cruces Int'l, I've flown over a big-ass meteor crater sitting just SW of Cruces a few times. One of my best friends is a Mormon, and he got sent on a mission to Las Cruses NM for his 2 year stint. He said it was the low rider capital of the world, and also the only place he'd ever seen where sunday services had smoke breaks. He also sent me a picture of him and his missionary buddy, standing beside a guy holding 2 MJ plants about 4 feet tall. Other than that he said it was like sticking your head in an oven and trying to breathe. Yeah but it's a dry heat, well mostly heh. I lived there summers during high school, driving you could feel the humidity from the Rio Grande or some of the big orchards hitting you like a brick wall. Good times heh. Only gonna be 88-90 there next week though, not too bad... Quote

We have been here a week and I found a couple of ok bars. Today I was driving back to the airport in a hummer and I saw a snake. It turned out to be a 4'6" rattle snake. I chased him off the road and finally got him, I took him back to our hanger and we skined and cooked him. Quote

Last time I was in Juarez (waaaay back in the day) I saw a pair of snakeskin cowboy boots with the head mounted on the toe of the boots, bag one more of those babies and you'll be stylin' :biggrin: Quote
