2K1Banshee350 Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 what is the most anybody has gotten or seen out of a stock bore and stroke banshee on gas? Quote
rocketboy Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 a 358 cub is only .040 over stock and they can make over 80 hp on race gas,but as far as actual stock oem jugs on the 64mm stock bore its probably around 70 rwhp for the max output on gas Quote
racer Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 a few very prime builders were getting 100 bhp from stock stroke/bore. Quote
dawarriorman Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 (edited) a few very prime builders were getting 100 bhp from stock stroke/bore. Thats on alky though. I think I remember Jim talking about going all out on a drag motor, like roll it to the line and start it right before the race. He was saying it was more likely a grenade waiting to happen. I do remember somebody took a stock cylinder/bore/stroke banshee and managed to run high 3's in 100 yd (drag chassis). You can go damn fast with stock bore and stroke, but its still going to cost a bunch of money. No way around it, faster you want to go, the more you got to spend. Rustbag Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Whats the max hp for a 4mm cub? curious Quote
BigRed350x Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Whats the max hp for a 4mm cub? curious Alcohol or gas? Elevation also plays a big role in numbers. On gas I'd say probably anywhere from 75-90. Alcohol would be a little higher. I'm at 7500ft and there's no way you would get the numbers a lot of builders claim at this elevation. You could have to have some massive compression and be on alcohol to get close to the power guys get at sea level. Quote
kb01shee Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 I'm right around 65 hp with stock bore/stroke, that is with porting, reeds and k&n pods. Quote
