Whitey Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 I bought an 04' Limited Edition Banshee. My cousin fucked it all up and was selling it for cheap since it was all messed up. So I couldn't resist the price of $3000 and it was my color. I cleaned it up but still need to finish sanding and refinishing the fenders but its pretty nice. The thing wasn't running when I got it home the carbs were zip tied on :: and the main jet fell out and was lying in the bowl. I fixed those, change out the pilots from 16's to 30's and it runs great. Here's some pics: Its nice becuase now I can turn my other Banshee into a full drag bike and have this one to mess around with in the dirt. Its also nice becuase I finished the EFI kit for my banshee a while ago but never had a good motor to try it on. Now I'm going to put my EFI kit on this one as a test mule to work all the bugs out of the system. Let me know what you think Quote
Dmcbanshee Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Very nice I like the 04 Le color combo  But would be soft with your holeshot on asphalt :baseball_bat: Quote

Whitey Posted July 8, 2006 Author Report Posted July 8, 2006 Be sure to let me know how that EFI ends up working out.. I think I(along with everyone else) would find that quite handy if it works good  I'll definitely keep you guys updated. On my website I'll have posted exactly how you can built your own EFI kit for under $400 and will be able to handle 240whp naturally aspirated. However, I don't think EFI is going to give you that much of an advantage becuase of the weight and all the bullshit it adds. remember you need to run a battery. Once I write the code to be able to adjust the timing than its going to be pretty cool. I was thinking of building a replica kit to sell to cover the cost of my drag banshee. It would be pretty staight foreward, the only thing needed to be wired in would be the orange wire from the EFI kit to the orange wire going to the coil, everything else would be 100% bolt on. Than you could tune your shee' with a labtop and never need to adjust carbs for altitude, weather and other shit. Also the EFI kit is alchohol compatible. same one I got but that ones pretty beat looking, good buy none the less. Just remember those plastic were just sanded with 600 grit in the picture, besides that its pretty good. Frame is straight as can be. Quote
RIPPEN Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Thats why it would intrest me is because of altitude... I live at 5000feet but usually ride around 8,500 so it can be a pain in the ass.. Lookin forward to your progress man and your write-up on you homepage is impressive RIPPEN Quote
