Roll4Fun350 Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 My banshee is going through clutches like it is its day job, i just got done with a bunch of engine work and my clutch will not hold up to it, and i dont want to get hinson clutch stuff. I just want a clutch lock up assembly so i can keep nice loose springs on it and not have to kill my fingers pulling heavy duty clutch springs. Which kinds are some favorites ? Quote
strokrbanshee1 Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 (edited) I really like the direct drive stuff... just my .02 Edited July 2, 2006 by strokrbanshee1 Quote
baddboyy21 Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 I have a Grand River Racing lock up. No nuts and bolts to come loose like on the direct drive set-up. Quote
wesw Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 whats the difference between those 2. im kinda looking to get one but it needs to work with the hinson complete clutch 8 disks system. are their special stuff or ones for different setups. Quote

odaen Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 im happy with the direct drive lockup also I ran a Mattoon lockup with my old shee, worked like a champ. Cleared my pegs and brake pedal too. I heard after I got mine done that Jim's Sand Toys or some place did them for $300 exchange and you received a polished cover. That's still more than I paid for mine and I picked it up the next day from Cameron @ Redline since he does them in shop. Quote
race-a-holic Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 (edited) I got mine from Jeff at F.A.S.T. Racing. It's awesome. You'll hate having to ride someone else's banshee with no lock-up and stiff springs. The clutchs he sells are great too. Edited July 5, 2006 by race-a-holic Quote

You guys just need to buff up your arms. :thumb: I ran 6 HD springs in my warrior, my 87 banshee, and my current bike. I can pull them with two fingers and my shorty clutch any more. LOL My left arm is huge and my right is wimpy. I will kill you with my right-hand thumb though! I've just gotton used to the heavy duty springs. I'm going to a lockup with my next major rebuild though, so I will see how I like it. I think I might miss my HD springs. Quote
