Well I took my Banshee out for hte first time this weekend. When I bought it I had to rebuild the carbs, and now it runs real good. The only thing I really notcied was once it heats up, it is hard to start?? Usually it is the other way around. I have to kick it about 5 times. It didn;t seem to matter much opening the throttle either? ANy ideas? I imagine a carb issue, the only thing I could maybee think is a low float, but even that doesn't seem right becasue cold it starts on the first kick? Maybee a stator going out?

Thanks

It seems like it has to be something carb related. I was even thinking out of sync, but that doesn;t seem right, becasue it will start on the one cylinder with the choke, before the other one kicks in. So it can run fine on one cylinder.

I definatley don;t think it is overheating, it runs fine, just like it should, just hard to get started. I will check the pick up coil. Where is that located? (I guess I could look in thte book). SOrry if thta is a basic question, but like I said this is my first Banshee.

Since it has gotten warmer, it could be too rich on the bottom end. Try opening up you air screws 1/4-1/2 turn, on each carb, and see if that doesn't help. You may have to open them up more than what I suggested, to get it tuned right.

Well I checked the pick up coil gap. It was right at .020. SO I guess I could move it in some (I believe I read the spec was .015-.020). WHat next? SHould I bother moving that?

One more thing I am going to change out those stupid phillip heads with some allen heads on the side cover. They were a pain to get out. ANyone know the size/length off hand?

I just rebuilt the carbs and I think I set the air screws at 2 turns. It was either 1.5 or two, whatever the manual said to. WHat is a good settting for stocvk setup in 65+ whether? Thanks
