Speedie
Out of curiosity. Is there a reason your wanting Colt 1911 as a collector? I would think you would want something that was less expensive and would climb in price verse something that is already bringing top dollar. I would think Winchesters(out of business) or Ruger black hawks(no longer made) or assault rilfes be something that would climb in price very well right now. But I've been out of the gun scene for a while so I really wouldn't know. Edited May 10, 2006 by Speedie
slowpokebanshee
valid point, I am not really looking at it for an investment, I just like 1911 colts, and would display them proudly, but you are right winchester would probably make a great investment, or some Tommy guns, ak-47, etc.
Speedie
I was just wondering. I think the 1911 Colts are an awsome gun myself. I had a chance to buy an all chrome once for a grand. I just thought it was too high at the time. It looked like the one Samual L Jackson used on Pulp fiction. I wish I had gotten it now. Don't forget to look at the Kimbers and Springfields also.
