Turbobanshee_kid Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Why is it when i which ATV MX races on TV Channel ONL, That i always see 450's and never any banshee or 250R's. 450's and so gay! Are the banshee just sucky MX quads or what? I think those races on TV with the 450's are so boring, ITs always a Honda 450R or a YFZ 450 that win! so gay! Quote

The reason you don't see banshees out there anymore is because they can't keep up with the newer design and technology that's being put into the 450r's and YFZ450's...Why race with a cadillac when you can run a ferrari? Yeah, you can buy the lonestar chassis and beef up the suspension on a banshee and make it better, but why spend all that money on it when you can buy a 450r or YFZ450 and already be competitive out of the box. If you actually raced in MX, you would understand If you think it's gay......DON'T WATCH IT!! I actually enjoy watching races where most of the bikes are the same...that way you know who the best rider is Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 also Banshee being over 250cc have to be in the open class, which is not nearly prestigious as the pro class. Im not sure Banshees were ever super popular in MX or XC. If they showed duning or hillshooting on TV I bet all youd see are Banshees though. I do agress 450s are gay though....250s are where its at! I still love watching the races though. Quote

bansheefreestyler Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 if you guys went from riding a banshee to riding a yfz or any other 450 for mx you guys would understand what its all about. 450s are awesome on a mx track. with my banshee i would run 5 laps on my track and get arm pump like crazy now with my 450 its around 20 laps before i get arm pump. dont call something gay until you have experienced what it is like compared to something else. Hilarious Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Ya'll are talkin' bout how 450's are gay. What's gay is watching these fuckin' races and then a commercial comes on and its for the news and how another Kennedy is in trouble. That's gay. The races are cool. Quote

MudSlinger09 Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 isnt there a rule made against bikes like 250r`s racing in those mx races ? i dont know bout shees but they were sayin somethin bout that if the bike is not produced anymore than it cant be raced? Quote

And after 2006, Banshees should have the same rules as the 250R because it's no longer being produced. But like said before, the Open class isn't usually followed as close as the production class. That's why/when everybody switched over to four strokes. Quote
sp1tekiller Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 I still see alot of Banshee racing on tracks. Not as many as there were 10 years ago, but still quite a few. Quote
