i turned 14 today. i have a little grass cutting job. i got my shee for my birthday off of ebay. its an 02 and it has FMF powercore full system. ill post pics as soon as it gets picked up. im kinda worried because i got it for only $2700. nothing looks wrong and he SAYS it runs perfect and starts first try. ill take his adress and if im ripped, i lite him up

i need to know all the maintance and stuff. Do i need to mix the gas? How long should i go w/o rebuilding? do i need to jet it with hte pipes, id ont think it is. can i drive full out and not blow it up or will it? can i beat a raptor 700? I dont know any of this stuff and i need to.

Very important to know.Whoever you bought it off of,ask them if they rejetted it when the installed the pipes and what jets it has in the carbs.

 

Is this the first sport quad you've owned or ridden?

 

The 4-strokes have come a long ways.You probably won't out run the piped 450's.That's just my opinion.There is alot of potential in a banshee though.

ok, is it ok to run it w/o the air box lid. Ive heard of doin it and i didnt know if i had to have a certain kind of filter on it. Does it need to be rejetted after the pipes were put on it?

 

Yes it is my first sport quad. I had a trx90 when i was 8 and i got a dirtbike when i was 11. I have ridden my friends blaster and warrior alot so i have some experience. I like quads more then dirtbikes. Got my shee may 3 for my 14 BDAY YAY

happy birthday guy.........yeah you have tons to learn, get a compression tester, that will help tell you the state of your top end, learn to mix your fuel, keep the air intake side of the bike so clean you could eat off it, get a good metric socket and open end wrench set and go around the bike snugging things up, keep the chain oiled and adjusted, buy a little grease gun for your zerk fittings that take lube, and start mowing a butt load of lawns cause theres tons of stuff your going to want to buy for your bike, ALLWAYS wear your helmet eating it on a quad isnt fun, and its bound to happen, if you do ride alone take a cell phone with you maybe your dad has the pouch his razor came in you can put your phone in that and put it under the seat behind your air filter, if you cant make a hill get off and get to the left or right of the bike DONT slide down a hill and have the quad follow you, getting hit by 400 pounds of motorcycle hurts more than the crash it's self........... you got dealers blue book on your bike and thats a good deal..... have fun!!!

I have an '02, same color. After the stickers come off, paint the grill shroud black. It'll look much better. I snagged a set of white shocks off my buddy
