AVIDARCHER Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) IF ANY ONE OUT THERE CAN GIVE ME SOME IDEAS FOR A NEW QUAD FOR MY SON, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH. RIGHT NOW WE HAVE AN OLD 93' HONDA 90 THAT RUNS LIKE A TOP, BUT THE PHYSICAL SIZE IS LIKE A TANK ON HIM. HE'S 8 YRS OLD AND RIDING FOR ABOUT 1YR NOW. LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ABOUT THE SAME, BUT IN A SMALLER FRAME. (BOY IF I COULD DO THAT WITH MY WIFE> ) IS IT POSSIBLE? I MEAN WITH THE QUAD. WHAT THE HELL! WHAT ABOUT THE WIFE, TOO. batoutofshell Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 myson is 8 and he rides the Yamoto 150 Raptor copy he loves it and its plenty for him 50+ mph with throttle screw for adjustment Quote
ogre03 Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 We bought my kid (he's a rather small 9 year old) the polaris 90. It runs pretty good. It hauls my 170lbs around pretty decent. Comes with a helmet too. Quote
ellison445 Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 My son has a worked Eton-50 that smokes 90's all day and he is only 7 years old The 50 and 90 are the same size frame, I think eton makes the largest 50 on the market Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 dont the new kasea and eton mini's come with dual a-arms? ... my lil guy is ready for a wheeler but its got to have dual a-arm's. he's 6 and way to big for a lt50 .... shit he fits perfect on the lt80. so im startin a build on a cr85 Blaster, he'll be big enough for that in a year or two. I just picture your little guy terrorizing everybody on it. I was thinkin the same thing... 496537[/snapback] Quote
racer Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 i believe in the world of motorsports you should get a red or blue. pick a color and be happy. However, this is where I differ. Having had the chance to ride MANY MANY small framed quads, the Polaris is my choice. Fuck, its a two stroke. Bomb-proof, and cheap to rebuilld once you get a really good bomb. Those things are fast and nimble, not to mention they are fairly upgradable. Hell once i saw a 250r motor in one of those chassis. Youre gonna pay a little moe over an E-ton, but then again, you get what you pay for. Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 check my reply in this post.. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59153 look in the video section for the kazuma in action! MY boy later, Chad Quote
Soupbox660 Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 My little sister has a Raptor 80 and its not super fast, but its super fun. It will carry my ass everywhere and is a super good trail machine. More than enough power for a kid. Super good at wheelies too She got it to top out at a little over 30 mph with the screw backed out and the restricter plate off. Quote
ellison445 Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Dont take this the wrong way Cole, But if you go to a track you will see about 1 Polaris there and a shit load of Kasea, Kazuma, Etons and Cobras. Polaris bikes are very heavy and they are not the fastest!!! And bomb proof my ass, When I was on the market for my sons bike I went to polaris to check out the scrambler, They had about 15-20 scarmblers and predators outside in the service department, I turned right back around and got in my truck Point being, you do get what you pay for!! i believe in the world of motorsports you should get a red or blue. pick a color and be happy.
