Stock porting I say the 6's.if you have porting or going to port than the 5's..

Stock bike (nothing special): T-6s

Non-stock bike (port, stroker, sinlge carb, etc.): T-5s

T-6s were designed for stock bike. T-5s were also but then it was discover that they provide more power with a modded bike  (dont consider me as an expert, this is just what ive heard)

Eventually your gonna want to port your shee. Porting really tailors the power to your specific type of riding. I'd go w/ the t5's hands down. No sense in getting t6's only to sell them down the road.

You've probably already ordered pipes, but I'd agree with Wallrat. Eventually you will undoubtedly want to do even more mods, and you'll likely find yourself after new pipes again if you go with the T6's. If you know, with absolute, unquestionable certainty that you will never-ever port your bike, you'll make slightly more power with the 6's. So I'd say T5's also.

Its simple i had a stock banshee with v-force reeds a cool head clamp ons and t-6s ran great for a stock motor i just bought a 421 cub and that will cut about 15 horsepower off my capabilities with the t-6s but i have to save more money to get shearers, planning on more motor mods than get the t-5's

T-5's.  No brainer.

i agree...with t5s you have the right pipes to upgrade with. t6 are no good with anything but stock porting and at that id be willing to bet t5s will perform just as well..

Now that you have bought someting, do a search and find tons of opinions on the topic of T5 vs T6

well guys i had already bought the t 6's but i dont think that ill be doing any porting anytime soon.....i think for now im going to stick with some bolt ons and some slight motor work...pockets and getting shallow but i have people telling me that going from stock to pipes is like night and day.

you made the right choice, you are going to love them.

most of the people saying the t-6s suck haven't rode with them. they preformed better than t-5s before my motor was ported, and I just treid them again this past weekend, still running the t-6s. from bottom to top my banshee pulls harder with the t-6s. I had the same mph topend with both pipes, the t-6s got there first.

good choice on the pipes they look and perform better. :bolt:

I had t6's and they ran great but I bought some CPI's which you dont want really riding on tight trails. but with port work the t6s didnt make as much HP as my friends t5s. The t5s in the long run would have been the best choice. whats bad about t6s are nobody wants to buy them once their used. I practically gave mine away.

You know I just re-read everything and I didn't pick one person out who said that the T6's suck. I don't know of a Toomey pipe that sucks. What I did see was a lot of people saying to go with T5's if you plan more extensive mods, because they will outperform T6's in the long run. If you call Toomey, they will tell you the exact same thing. On a stock bike T6's will outperform the T5's, but with more and more mods the T5's will come back and pass the T6's.
