phxrider Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 I'm looking to buy a new 8x16 tandem axle trailer for my quads, but I can't decide weather I want a wrap around tongue or not? I'm pretty sure I'll be using it for other things like picking up building material to do stuff around the house and of coarse, helping friends move. What's do you guys think? what are the advantages and disadvantages? Is there a big weight difference (Actual wieght of the trailer)? Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 do u mean the kind that hooks into the bed? Quote
phxrider Posted March 21, 2006 Author Report Posted March 21, 2006 I think they also call it "A" frame. Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 Are you talking bumper hitch vs gooseneck vs 5th wheel? I'm not familiar with wrap around. Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 where does it hook up on the bumper or in the bed? Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 that trailer looks heavy as fuck..i cant see a need for one of those... Quote
tithead Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 More like this! 490765 this trailer looks good. may be a touch heavy but a ramp on the back and youd be sorted. Quote

phxrider Posted March 22, 2006 Author Report Posted March 22, 2006 I think it says. 4 quads will never weigh enough to justify a second axle. You only need a single axle for 4 quads. 490901 I've pulled a trailer that was about the same length with one axle, and it felt unstable over railroad tracks and big bumps. Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I think it says. 4 wheelers will never weigh enough to justify a second axle. You only need a single axle for 4 wheelers. 490901 bullshit. you would NEVER catch me pullin 4 bikes with one axle..thats trouble waiting to happen... Quote
