Engine ice

to install engine ice do i have to flush my cooling system or can i just drain all my coolant and add the engine ice? if i do have to flush it, how do i do that? thanks

I just pulled the lines and drained the rad.I tilted the motor forward untill all the anti-freeze was out.I never flushed the whole system though.I have no problems the way I did it.It does run a hell of alot cooler now.

I did not flush mine, and it makes a huge difference in cooling.

For any coolant and anytime you are changing coolant, we recommend a simple solution of distilled water and white distilled vinegar, both available at your local grocery store.

 

1. Mix the water/vinegar at 50/50

 

2. Fill system with the solution

 

3. Run engine until warm

 

4. Let cool

 

5. Drain

 

6. Run clear water through to rinse out vinegar.

 

7. Fill with coolant of choice.
