waycott_259 Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 how well does a 416ex er a 400 compare to a banshee? power and speed wise Quote
BANJO Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 hahaha..... a slowhundered ex... lol... sorry man but this is a waste of a post.. devin Quote
Dead Op Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I tell yeah what a 400 compares to a stock shee pretty good, The 400's are awesome in the snow too! Quote
waycott_259 Posted March 3, 2006 Author Report Posted March 3, 2006 ok but what about a 416 or 440? Quote
DirtyFitz Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 A buddy of mine has a 440 Kit in his 400EX plenty of other parts; Port N Polish, Cam, High Comp Piston etc etc... When I only had an airfilter and pipes, i'd blow him away everytime. Only thing the 400ex has going for it is handling. Quote
rocketboy Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 as long as the ban she doesnt hit 3rd gear... they will be close Quote
RNBRAD Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Probably need to add another cylinder and big bore to both. No I'm not kidding. Quote
Too Many Toys Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 ok but what about a 416 or 440? 481542[/snapback] Even the new 450R which will tear up the 416 and 440 big bores won't hold a candle to a banshee with pipes. Now a stock banshee, thats another story. Thats my experience but all i ride are sand dunes. Quote
twincylinder Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 (edited) Well i know a guy who has a 440ex and it has everything done that can be done to a EX motor wise expect nitrous, and his bike does go pretty good but when my shee was stock i would still run away from it once i hit 4th. BlackBanshee50 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Im no expert...but im pretty sure a 400 wouldnt compair to a shee. I have dragged 3 different 400exs on my cr80 and won everytime. My one friend had his bored out like .20 over with aftermarket pipes and such. He was the only one that even gave me a challenge on my bike. We were neck and neck the whole way up to 5th and my 6th gear is what gave me the win. I was able to put about 2 bike lengths between us. My bike was geared 14:49 with fmf SST and shorty pipes. Ive never raced a banshee but im sure it would smoke my ass. 400s are nice quads to put around on though. Quote
bansheeryder21 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 This is going to be the same reply as all the other ones on this topic! I raced my buddies 400ex with big bore kit, port and polish, you name it! He couldn't keep up with me in 4th gear! I still had two more gears to go. You can figure out the rest! Quote
