I have a tranny from a RZ350-does any one know if these tranny bars are geared much different than a stock banshee set up? they fit perfect-not sure if they would be too tall for the sand. Finally putting 4ml together and I have this tranny from a RZ 350-what do you guys think? I have asked before but never got a answer.

It's a tough choice, do a search I posted the a list of both tranny ratios.

I run mostly trail so I'm stickin with the shee trans, but for those who have more power and run more WOT stuff prefer the RZ.

BenBB also runs the RZ tranny and likes it alot, says is "crazy fast" :bolt:

im just guessing here, but id think itd be fast b/c the RZ was a racing street bike, correct?

i thought the rz350's 6th gear was similar to the banshee's 4th ....? so wouldnt a stock banshee tranny be faster overall but a rz350 trans just have quicker acceliration but slower top speed

From what Ive read--changing the 6th gear from the banshee to the RZ is the move--still not sure-this the only thing holding up my 4ml passion stroker---Come on JIM pipe in

If your riding mostly sand and alot at WOT, I'd run the RZ tranny and play with your sprokets from there.

I had this same issue when I built mine. I had trannies from both bikes. I ended up using the Banshee clusters with RZ shift forks and drum. THe RZ clusters have weird jumps that probably worked fine on the street but leave you either shifting to often or not being able to keep it up on the pipe.

Jim built my 4mil RZ motor and this thing screams, but the RZ jugs are a whole hell of a lot easier to ride off the pipe.

just use the drum and forks my man, with a torquie 4 mil. you will be able to pull taller gears in the sand, the rz trans is not the be all end all you think it s gonna be,it may cause you gearing headaches during tuning your new motor that you think maybe something else.i was gonna put one in my drag bike when i had it apart and was recommended not to by my builder. i was not familiar with the ratios and tuning may have been a problem, trying to figure out the new internal gear ratios while trying to break in and tune a new motor.

Thank-you to all-will be going with the banshee gearing  That thinner gear is the easyist way to tell the difference from the two--Let the building begin :headbang:
