I was planning on powder coating my bike untill I talked to a guy who said he powder coated his first frame off and hated it. He said any fuel or brake clean or anything he got on it dulled the finish and made it looked like shit. So after hearing this I decided to get some high temp engine paint(heard its more durrable than reg paint) and went to town. Looked great untill I got a little brake clean on it and the shit wiped off like nothin... Sucks I gotta take it all apart again but where do I go from here. Kinda short on cash but Iam curious if what this guy was tellin me about PC is true... Also those of you who have bought auto paint for this, how much does somethin like that cost??? Thanks

i spill gas on my PC'd frame all the time and it doesnt dull it.... ive never spilled brake fluid tho so i dont know bout that. plus PC is way more durable...i dropped my swingarm on cemtent and barely chipped it, if it were paint it would have been destroyed i wad amazed at the quality

Take it to Coating Specialties in Windsor 686-6318 they will treat you very well, I was just admiring how good mine looks after 2 years, I've spilt all kinds of shit on mine and it still looks brand new. Bright colors will tend to fade, that's just the nature of them, but he will put on a clearcoat for $20 that will help with that.

I can't wait to come down and ride with you this year. It's going to be a blast. You have any trouble getting through any of the shoots down at walden with that front end? i am only running +2+1 and sometimes my shit will rub the trees.

Hey Rippen, if you do send it out to PC let me know I might send some stuff with you, maybe we can get a package deal or something if we send a bunch of crap.

For just the frame it's 100-125 depending on the color, i had the swingarm, aarms, hubs, all kinds of little shit done, all together it was about 250 if i remember correctly. two of my buddies just got theirs done, pickin em up today, only took a few days to get em done.

Hell yeah man its gonna be a killer year i can't wait. I haven't had many problems with the width, it might catch occasionally but nothin major, I did have to flip my rims because they have a 3-1 offset, that really helped to get rid of the bump steer, i had more problems catching the sides when i had stock arms with the 3" offset, once they caught there was no coming out of it, now i can strongarm out of it.

You know of anyone thats been up to seminoe lately? My cousin and I are tentatively planning a day trip up there early march...I know a girl that was riding up there on xmas and there was no snow, wondering if it's still that way....you should meet us up there if it's clear
