BigRed350x Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 (edited) Just thought I would share my plans for my setup. h129 crank (getting it re-welded when I get it) w/ TZ bearing cub (ported, polished) Cool Head w/ 18cc domes VForce 3 33mm pwk's +4 or +6 swinger, probably 4 since I don't race much and like to wheelie a lot. Probably roundhouse Extreme Haulers Billet Impeller All new suspension bearings (shocks, linkage, swinger, carrier, etc) Billet Stuffs New Bars Re-chrome my pipes, chrome my footpegs & some other stuff powdercoat frame, hubs lockup clutch new axle +2 new lights. elka's gusset frame before PC skid plates all the way around. That's all for now. Of course all the small stuff... fancy bolts etc. Putting new bearings on everything when I split the cases for the crank. Edited January 16, 2006 by BigRed350x Quote

badassbanshee479 Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 I second that, cubs like big carbs, I have 39s on my 421. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 bigred, if ur lookin for a +4 swingarm ive got a brand new roundhouse one. pm me if ur interested. Quote
odaen Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 gonna have your hands full with the +4, but sounds like a good runner. why port it though if you're gonna run T5's? also, may wanna check around. the chromer I'm gonna use won't chrome used pipes, because the carbon contaminates the tank or something. I've seen NYUK post something similar awhile back too about his experiences with chroming used pipes. Quote

BigRed350x Posted January 16, 2006 Author Report Posted January 16, 2006 Gusset frame? where? got mine down to the skinny..might be a good idea? 460408[/snapback] Dunno yet. Looking for a kit somewhere right now. I don't really want to make my own, but if I can't find a good kit I will have to. My fat ass puts a lot of stress on that little frame, I know it. Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 16, 2006 Author Report Posted January 16, 2006 (edited) OK, so looks like people say I need bigger carbs and maybe a longer swinger. I will probably have to go with a +6 swinger then, because I ride a lot of dirt roads & stuff out at my ranch but spend a lot of time in the sand. I will probably go with some 35 pwk's then. I'm not totally sure I want to go 4mm or not. I have to split the cases to put a new trued and welded crank in anyway, so I was just figuring, why not go 4mm? How's that sound? As for the chroming used pipes, couldn't you just plug up either end with something, or temporarily weld the ends shut for the chroming? Maybe I will just have to ceramic coat them black or something. I dunno. All I know is that my pipes are showing a little rust in some spots and it bugs the shit outta me. I might just have to get some CPI, or see if I can find some Rockets without getting screwed. Keep the input going. What other parts should I be looking at here, besides what's listed above?
