UNITED_BANSHEE_10 Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 (edited) I was wondering what should i install for my stock Banshee, I am looking for t5's or T'6s .. should i get the: TR6 Kit TR6 pipes in polished show-quality chrome, satin polished aluminum silencers, all stainless steel mounting hardware, Uni-Filter air filter, Uni-Filter airbox vents, perfect carburetor jetting, high temp silicone pipe/stinger seals Or T5KC T5 Pipes, Stinger Tubes, Silencers, Perfect Jet Kit, Uni-Filter air filter and 12 Airbox Vents for stock airbox, Silicone Pipe Seals, Chrome Finish. please could you give me your opinions and im also thinking about DMC Alien Complete Exhaust System. FASTOYS Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 If your looking for more bottem /mid range power than i would say go T6s. The T5s will give you more mid/top power and will respond better to future porting mods just alittle bit. Either one is MUCH better than stock! Quote

The T6's are claimed to perform better on stock engines by a small margin, but the T5's perform better with porting than the T6's. Unless you absolutely never, ever plan on porting, I would get the T5's. If you're newer to Banshee's you'll soon find that what you've got it almost never enough, and you'll keep modding. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I run the t-6s, they pull sooner and longer on a stock port motor than t-5s, I now have eric gorr's more power everywhere port, and the power is awesome. I haven't tried the t-5s again yet. good luck Quote
scooter Posted January 1, 2006 Report Posted January 1, 2006 i have the t6 kit you are asking about on mine and im very happy with it the perfomance and quality are great.as far as the porting issue im not sure on that ive talked to some that say the t5s respond better but ive benn told you can port for the t6 as well if your builder knows what pipe you have Quote

race-a-holic Posted January 1, 2006 Report Posted January 1, 2006 I've tried both of the Toomeys you are talking about.Get the T-5's.I had some mods when I tried the T-6.No porting,but it did have K&N filters(no air box),Dyna ignition(I think),and a Trinity cylinder head.It pulled pretty good on bottom and mig-range.On top end,"there was nothing".I was extremely unhappy.Later got the T-5's and they did alot better with the mods I had.With my ported banshee now(with shearer in-frames)I've actually have been beat twice by banshees with T-5's.I think this boils down more to how the bikes were set-up at the tracks we were running.Not knocking them though.They were very fast. As far as race-a-holic's comment on t-6's having "nothing" on top, I think either his jetting was off, or he is a little stoned. Mine deffinatly doesn't have a "There was nothing" feeling on top.
