bansheeshannie Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Last time i was out at the dunes, i threw a chain and it put a hole in the top of my case. mostly just the protective part over the front sprocket broke off..there is a little opening that goes through to the stator. my question is..should i get it fixed or will it be ok? my budget is very low right now but i cant stand ridin a craptor (back up bike) when i go out Quote
Ultimateduner Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 (edited) Well with a opening to the stator it could get sand or water in the stator that can ultimately destroy it. I"d fix if I were you. Edited November 30, 2005 by Ultimateduner Quote
BigRed350x Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I fyou are on a budget, use some JB weld. I've even used epoxy on a friends bike when we were out on a ride. Had to scuff up the case a little so it would stick, but its been on there ever since, no problems. Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 i put a hole in my case right on the bottom becasue i threw the chain and it was leakin oil and shit and i used jb weld it worked out for a bit, but when it got real cold it got brittle and leaked, so i ended up just gettin it welded....eaiest thing to do very cheap as well.... knight_ripper Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 yup...if the hole aint too big....JB weld. I JB'd a rm80 engine once....lasted days. but eventually it will need to be welded or replaced. Quote
Shee-Male Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 if you go to a speed shop you can get A B epoxy thats like playdoe, its made buy a company called MOROSO, the stuff is brutal strong and machineable, I've used it on v8 engines, trannys, intakes, etc. it lasts for years. Quote
23champ Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 prolly...you should just get it welded, then all your worries are over. Quote
