Last time i was out at the dunes, i threw a chain and it put a hole in the top of my case. mostly just the protective part over the front sprocket broke off..there is a little opening that goes through to the stator. my question is..should i get it fixed or will it be ok? my budget is very low right now but i cant stand ridin a craptor (back up bike) when i go out

Well with a opening to the stator it could get sand or water in the stator that can ultimately destroy it. I"d fix if I were you. :P

I fyou are on a budget, use some JB weld. I've even used epoxy on a friends bike when we were out on a ride. Had to scuff up the case a little so it would stick, but its been on there ever since, no problems.

i put a hole in my case right on the bottom becasue i threw the chain and it was leakin oil and shit and i used jb weld it worked out for a bit, but when it got real cold it got brittle and leaked, so i ended up just gettin it welded....eaiest thing to do very cheap as well....

if you go to a speed shop you can get A B epoxy thats like playdoe, its made buy a company called MOROSO, the stuff is brutal strong and machineable, I've used it on v8 engines, trannys, intakes, etc. it lasts for years.

are you talkin about the little u shaped hole on the case? about halfway up the stator just behind the stator cover gasket?if so,it is supposed to be there. there is a little rubber plug that fits in there.
