speed_demon Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 If you run the lid filter do you still need a regular air filter as well??? Quote
avc8130 Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Actually...why would you need a second filter? I mean, if the airbox is sealed, and the lid is a K&N filter, why do you need a second filter? ac Quote

Wicked98Shee Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 just ditch the lid and run a k&n and rejet Quote
iceman Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 because it doesnt filter your carbs directly. they are total crap though. just remove the lid and do what wicked said. Quote

dawarriorman Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 the airbox isnt sealed. how would air get into it? 434808[/snapback] They're talking about a whole new lid that K&N makes, thats a filter. So as long as you plug up the drain hole in the bottom of the airbox, it would be sealed, and you would be fine without a filter (as long as it has or can use a rubber seal to really seal the lid). korndawg Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 From what I can tell, the K&N filter lid looks like it's kinda a waste. If it were up to me, I'd just toss the lid, and run a K&N filter with an outerwear. Quote

Plus Ive never been a big fan of K&N. The fine clay dust around here goes right through them. Nothing but foam for me. Quote
hittintrees srh Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 I had one of those xtreem power lids(the k&n lid) on my craptor, I thought it SUCKED!!!!!!! Dont piss your hard earned money a way. Quote
