DaveVato Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Putting the motor back in my banshee, trying to align the back of the engine with the mount point on the frame. I noticed on one side of the mount bushing there was a semi-circular metal part that says up on one side, but that part is not on the other. I think it fell off. what is this part and can I replace it or do I even need it? Quote
FadedDreams Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 You don't have anything to worry about.Your not missing anything, theres only 1 of those things. Quote
DaveVato Posted November 7, 2005 Author Report Posted November 7, 2005 For real? It seems like there should be something on the other side? Maybe I can fab up a washer to work? Quote
NYUK Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 it s only on the one side, thats the way the motor wants to move under power. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 if the motor didnt move some under a load it would probably crack motor mounts and possibly your frame.. Quote
DaveVato Posted November 7, 2005 Author Report Posted November 7, 2005 Excellent, thats good info, thanks! Now I can get her put back together. Quote
fast87 Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 not to mention a solid mounted motor would vibrate your hands right off the bars.. you'd be tired of riding after a good hour, i had an old kawasaki 100 dirtbike like that, to top it off the grips were like plastic.. ~Mark~ Quote
