Been riding the Oregon dunes FOREVER on a 250R 3 Wheeler. Just bought a Very stock 2003 Banshee. Going to do some mods (frenders, Toomey's, etc.) What is everyone using for tires??? 8 paddle, 9? 10? what about the front? Mohawks?

thanks

I'm a big fan of the 10 inch 9 paddle haulers. It would help alot though, if you'd tell us what kind of riding you plan on doing, and how much power you're planning on putting to the ground.

Probably more overall "just riding on the dunes" than drag racing. I always ran Sand Skate II's on my 250R (3 Wheeler), I don't see many people around here running them on their quads, mostly straight paddles.

Basicay I have narrowed your decision down to

Skate II's great tires for piped banshee.

A little heavier are Sand Star II's a little more traction but also heavier tire (never tried them myself)

or 8 paddle Extreme Haulers. (pusing it with extremes probably better off with normal haulers although they won't hold up as long)

Pick one of the above...

I would not recomend running a 9 paddle tires with your mods, it will only slow you down.

I run the 20x10x10 9 paddle haulers on my bike. Ride the Oregon Dunes usually Horsfall to Spinreel area. Ran the nines on the stock bike before pipes or anything, made it to where you had to shift much more to keep it in the power, but still manageable. I'd run the nine paddles, especially if you plan on doing more mods down the road, you'll still have enough paddle to hold the power. I drag at Boxcar and get plenty of spin off the line, and grip for 4th gear wheelies on the top.

Right on, I ride at Coos Bay whenever I can. Grew up in Southern Oregon, used to go there all the time, was down there for Labor Day this year (Horsefalls). Thanks for the information, need to buy some parts this Winter and get it ready for Spring.
