What kind of wattage are we talking about?

403544

We cannot be concerned solely with wattage, we must also know the voltage as well as the amperage draw. And don't forget candlepower ratings. All of these factors must be known before we can compute and further discuss the details of this application.

Good joke by the way.... too bad it's the truth. lol

while were on the subject. . .

month or so back light in hall way went out (fairly new light too) checked/changed the bulb, still dident work (not the problem). proceded to spend an afternoon putting in new 3 way switches (after finaly gettin instructions to put them in right) we tryed it again still nothing. at this point fianly figure start at the bulb and work back. . .loose wire right at the light. Would of been 10 min of work (including changing the bulb) if we dident bother with the switches.

What is a light bulb?????

403841

light bulb: electric lamp consisting of a glass bulb containing a wire filament (usually tungsten) that emits light when heated...The incandescent light bulb uses a glowing wire filament heated to white-hot by electrical resistance, to generate light (a process known as thermal radiation). The bulb is the glass enclosure which keeps the filament in a vacuum or low-pressure noble gas, or a halogen gas in the case of quartz-halogen lamps (see below). In Australia a light bulb is commonly called a light globe, most Australians don't realise that "globe" is not used in this sense outside Australia.
