I'm surprised that Toomey would say something like that when it is blatantly wrong.

The coolant is drawn back from the bottle when the engine cools. I'm not sure about the stabilizer thing though. The bottle can really be put almost anywhere. Just make sure you've got the hoses connected right.

Holyman is correct. We have went through this before and Holyman got a diagrahm from the original rz350. Just watch the bottle. It goes up and down. The stabilizer can be mounted to the frame next to the pipes.

you can mount the bottle on the side of the frame rail instead of that bracket and have it clear a Denton stabilizer. Thats what I did for a while...then i just took it off

With the coolant bottle mod, you run the overflow from the top of the radiator, to the bottom of the bottle. The top hose coming from the bottle comes back and over the top of the frame, right.

This is what Toomey say about the coolant bottle

"Remove the radiator overflow bottle and re-route the hose down to the ground, loosely tying it to the steering stem, Cut it off about 2

I can't really speak to whether or not there is a better location to place the overflow bottle. I do know it does recirculate, as I had to add a little to the bottle after some extended dune riding (BUT, the radiator was topped full). As for a mount, Modquad makes a bracket that will bolt in where the rear bolts for the airbox used to be. Puts the coolant bottle top right under the seat like stock. Like twenty bucks minus discount from Modquad, or I got mine through Alba Action Sports outta so cal, for about 18 and change. Seems to work just fine.
