BlueBanshe03 Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 I recently bought a banshee and it has Toomey T-5's on it. I want to know what else i could put on it to smoke my friends. They all ride yfz450's and 400ex's, so if you have any suggestions, they would be appreciated. thanks. Quote
05bansh Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Reeds, lighten flywheel, advance timing, noss head or mill the stock head. Then if you want to really beat thier asses port it and put on some bigger carbs. Quote
wayfst Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 nitrous------period, stop screwing around! Quote

decon Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 lightened flywheel makes your bike revs faster, if you ride the trails I wouldnt do it. advancing the timing helps out with the low end, this would help out with the t5 low end. what type of riding do you do? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Noss Head, reeds, and timing. K&N air filter if you don't have one already Quote
Banshee~ Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 nitrous------period, stop screwing around! 396612[/snapback] Dont you think thats a little overkill for just screwing around? Nosshead, K&N filter, vforce III reed cages, +4 timing plate, lighten flywheel...and when you want to really smoke them +4 longrod stroker, with porting and bigger carbs Quote
superchicken Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 i would go with reeds, head then get it ported.what kinda tires are you running in the rear.that will help alot, if you cant get it to the ground your not gonna get anywere fast Quote

BlueBanshe03 Posted July 25, 2005 Author Report Posted July 25, 2005 I ride mostly trails, a drag once in a while, and right now i have stock rears but i have a set of trekkers sitting in the garage waiting to be put on. Quote

Toomey Banshee Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 (edited) I would go in this order: 1. rear tires 2. go up a gear on the front sprocket, stock is 14, try a 15. 3. cool head, up your compression, 20cc domes should do the trick 4. either V-Force reeds or carbon fiber reeds with ported cages 5. timing advance 6. lighten the flywheel Run that set up till you have to rebuild the top end, then get her ported and polished with some Weisco pro lites, than your Toomeys will really shine. After this start some suspension mods. I guess what I'm getting at is IT NEVER EVER FRIGGIN ENDS. You get it running right than you fuck with something to make it go a friggin billionth of a second faster and you have to start over again cause all the other shit you just fucked with is now FUCKED UP TOO. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Whoa sorry, lost you a bit there. Umm, just have fun. Edited July 26, 2005 by Toomey Banshee Quote
