I would say as of now you are putting out 40hp maybe little more, but not much. To get 80-90hp maybe a full drag port, stroker, with big alky carbs. And maybe than some.

I run 180main DEK needle second clip 48piolet. My bike seems to run leaner than most people on here but since your cylinders are not ported I would think that would get you close. Try on the third clip firsth though.
Um the domes are smaller and there is less space creating more comp. and no you don't have to rejet. When you take that lid off you need to rejet, go up on the mains.
Wondering if anyone has a set of cylinders laying around that you could sell me for a good price. Wanting to sell my currently ported cylinders and get a set to have eric gorr prt them. These are top-end and i'm looking for more bottom-mid.
It is always really humid in Iowa. Just wondering if that would effect my jetting. Even if the temp. on drops say 10-15 degrees but the humidity drops alot it seems to make a huge diffrence in the way my shee runs.
Sound lean on the main for being ported. start with a 340 work your way down. You need to rebuild the top end with that low comp. or at least try new rings. You should be at 140psi or so And for the pipe thing sounds like your piolet jet is plugged.

I run a 175 main and a 48 piolet. DEK needke 3rd clip. Was running 320 mains on stock carbs.
