DBLtapS Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Morning, Since I blew my shee up last week I thought since I had it apart I would try to get it ported and maybe get the head shaved. Would I be better off with a coolhead or mill my stock head? Can anyone point me in the right direction of a shop? I live in Michigan and was thinking about grand river racing but, it looks like their page is gone? Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks in advance. I want a bore, ported, and head work. With this work would I need a welded crank? Quote

Not a big name shop but does very high quality work. He shaved my head and welded and custom cut the domes for my motor. He said if I were to buy a coolhead or noss head that I would still have to get blank domes so he could cut them, so I just had him do my stock head. I like being stealthy. I live in MI (near Flint) and have never heard of them. Grand River is kind of a big name when you get near Silver Lake dunes but there aren't any big names in my area other htan "Magic Racing" and "Vitos" which are both made famous by 'Dirt Wheels' Quote
