I'm going to buy eithe rthe 4 ply Holeshot, Knarly, or RAZR rear tires for my Shee. My main concern is tread life. Which will last longer? I ride on mostly dirt/sand roads, grassy areas, some rocks, and sometimes pavement.

Also, do these tires perform similarly? The Holeshots are an extra 30 bux over the RAZRs, are they worth it? How about the Knarlys?

Also, where is the cheapest place to buy tires from? So far the best I've found is Rocky Mountain ATV. Thanks.

I dunno about Knarlys but I know I'd pick Holeshots over Razrs. I have Razrs and a friend of mine with the same exact setup has Holeshots. He pulls outta the hole on me every single time while I am sitting there spinning in the dirt. His do seem softer (both 4 ply) so I would assume shorter tread live with Holeshots but man do they hook up. One bad thing about them is they THROW ROCKS BAD! I can't ride behind him, like I want to anyway but his tires throw rocks the size of baseballs. One hit me in the chest, left a bruise, another hit the face guard on my helmet and cracked it....just make sure you apologize in advance to everyone you are gonna demolish :headbang:

knarlys all the way..heres why..

they are a 6 ply tire yet still lighter than hyoleshot hd or irazr, which imo are the bets tires those people make. also, they are cheaper and with the offset in the tread pattern seem to clear dirt out a lot better. i like theo ther 2 tires but the knarlys are what i run on all my bikes. and yes. i have them all and have run them all...

Threr seen to be a number of people running the knarlys and there not that expensive at rocky mountain, personally I find them a little "balloon-y", I run GBC shredders and LOVE THEM! I heard about them in a magazine where a guy won the GNCC nationals on a pair so I thought I'd give them a try and so far so good, excellent tread life and only $40.99ea. @ rocky mountain.

No matter what you choose they'll be better than stock!

Well, I just ordered a set of Knarlys...should be alot better than the worn out RAZRs that came with my Shee...

recreationtire.com is the cheapest ive found for all tires. i bought my paddles on douglas red dots for $155 shipped $70 less than rocky mountain. and the shipped way fast not that rockymoutain doesn't ship fast.

Well, Rocky Mountain was sold out even though it didn't say so on their site...they say they won't have more until August 10th at th earliest.

My total from RM was 117, I tried recreationtire.com and it was 158.00. I refuse to pay that much.

Where else should I check for a good price on Knarly's? Thanks.

Also, what is the advantage of running 20-11-9's instead of 22's? Should I go with 20's? I have stock sprockets.

Any other suggestions for online sources? I live in the sticks and have to drive 110 miles round trip to buy a magazine...

yea man go with 20's. thats what i run on my 450 and banshee. i bought a set of 22's for the project bike but its gonna need them. i wouldnt run more than 20s on my other bikes tho. call them back and order the 20x11x9...gearing is a minor issue and can be fixed easily.
