Acceleration?

just wondering out of these 2 quads which has the fastest acceleration, raptor or banshee, thanks

That would depend on what is under the tires and what speed you are currently going. You will never get a Raptor to hang on concrete, but in wet grass a Banshee could spin through all six gears. Now are we talking about cruising along at 40 on some tacky soil and running then, advantage Banshee.

 

There are way too many variables to answer that one.

I would say out of the hole the cRaptor will take the shee because of the 4 stroke torque. But after the shee will walk on the Raptor as usual. A few weeks ago me and my bro were racing up sand mountain with a bunch of other shees. We swapped bikes for a few races. I jump on his yfz and he jumped on my shee. I was beating all of the shees about 20 yards off of the line and then they would all scream past me. Good times though!

also, do the quads have cut fenders or not? and does the banshee have the tors disconnected?

I forgot all about those, but the parking brake disconnected is good for at least a bike length.

Don't forget that it also depends on what color powerbands the Banshee is using too.

well me and my buddy were just wondering what would be a choice bike for the pacific northwest, it will be alot of mountain trails, and wet and muddy terrain, and we'll go to the dunes likle once a year, thats about it....we need new bikes and are just curious......P.S.and theres tracks here that we weill be riding on

Hey westerngoods, i live in aberdeen, WA, that's not too far from you..anyway the banshee is a 2 stroke and the craptor is a 4 stroke...that's about it...but really banshee's have tons of top end which makes trail riding do-able but tricky, raptors have smooth power all the way to the top but they're a taller, bigger, and clumsier machine...i've ridden both(i own a banshee) and prefer the banshee just because i only ride logging roads and dunes occasionally, good luck with your decision and as much as i hate to turn away the banshee, in your case it hink a 4 stroke would be better, have you looked into the polaris predator or th 400EX?, also if you get a raptor make sure it's not a 2001 or older, they have serious tranny problems(if that's the correct years, second gear always blows out, the newer ones have fixed that)
