Mxzdan Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 I bought a did o ring chain and a 14 and 41 sprocket a month ago and I decided that I wanted to change my front sproket so I bought a 13 and 15. Can I put them without being scare of my chain breaking because I only change my front sprocket and not the back or the chain. Will I have to ajust my chain or cut it so it fits. Thanks Quote

jjfizzle51 Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 i have a 13 tooth front and stock rear and the chain is a little loose but nothing to worry about i rode it preaty hard and it was all good. but i havn't tryied the 15 Quote
Animalman294 Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 Just remember you have to have the power to pull that 15. If your bike doesn't have the power yo are going to think you have an anchor on your arse. The 13 will get you out of the hole quicker, but your top end will go to $h!t. I was going to go to the 15 one step up from stock, but I want to finish adding my mods first. But hey they are cheap enough try it and see if you like it. Good luck ...... Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 no change to either sprocket... ive got a 16t with stock chain length. 16 didnt do chit for me .. i still have bottom torque and top speed... gonna try a 17t next but i will need a longer chain for that.. Quote
Mod Banshee Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 I run 15/41 Gearing with a Stock chain. And I like it alot It work real good for 300ft drag races Quote
joker149999 Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 i have a stock rear sprocket and a changed my front sprocket from stock too a 13 and had too take a link out of it, but other then that it's fine, but you do lose top end, but i don't ever ride in sixth gear much so it does not matter Quote
superchicken Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 dipping one tooth on the front will cuase a gain in lower end,But will cause never ending shifting in tight to open trails.go up a size and it will widen gearing to less shifting and higher mph.i hope you get what im saying cuase i just woke up Quote
