race-a-holic Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 It's a waste of money. All it does is get in the way.I'd save my money.Just my opinion. What mods. do you already have? Quote

hittintrees srh Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 a boost bottle will actually harm my bansh? how? aint that a fuck, i just got one from rocky mountain and now i'm saving some money for a timming plate oops' Quote
Animalman294 Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 Ya, I bought one last year, before I was properly educated. And You know something I think it gives my Shee the same amount of power increase installed on the bike as it does still in the original packaging sitting on the counter in the garage. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with it, I know................ Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 (edited) I dont know that it will actually hurt your bike. I believe a while ago someone dynoed with and with out one and they lost like a fraction of a hp. But it does no good for you. Some say they pick up throttle response and some just like the bling. I believe it may also cause the boots on the intake to wear faster and cause an air leak. But hay it could be worse there only like 20 dollars when you could have got a power now valve for like 200. Oh and mod your stock timing plate its free. Edited May 27, 2005 by 2004LEBanshee Quote

sredish Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 hell ive heard of people just taking that crossover tube out and plugging the holes... is that true? What crossover tube.... Quote
Wallrat Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 My intakes don't have any form of crossover. If you already bought a boost bottle don't worry about it. Just sell it to some other poor sucker on ebay and take the $5-$10 loss. Quote

03bansheeLE Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 i was thinking of just making a boost bottle on my own but then i said the hell with it and pulled the buffing wheel out and polished the stock crossover tube like crome. Quote
dajogejr Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 What do you guys mean? I couldn't pull a wheelie before I put my boost bottle on, now I can wheelie in 6th going downhill... Seriously...don't waste your time and/or money. They look cool...that's about it. I got tired of tyring to run my cables around it, etc. I have one, used once, you can have fore 10 bucks shipped. PM me if you're still interested after reading this thread. Save your money for a RS timing plate, as said. Quote
spurdy Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 I've got a boost bottle I'd let you have but I cut the end off to use it for a pen holder for my desk Quote
