PolyKarbon Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 Ok, the bike starts up fine, and it rides fine, except when I try to stay at a constant speed. There is no bogging or anything like that when Im climbing the gears, but if I hold the throttle in the same position and try to stay at a regular speed (no matter what gear) it just starts jerking and dies. What the hell do I do? It was all fine one part of the day, and the next two days of riding it was messed up. Please help and thanks. Quote
jeepman380 Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 Do you have an aftermarket ignition or stock? I had the same problem every once in a while...kinda an on and off problem. I replaced my ignition and it solved the problem. Don't know if it's the same thing with yours but if you had another ignition or something to swap it with to try and see if that helps. Quote
PolyKarbon Posted May 24, 2005 Author Report Posted May 24, 2005 you mean key ignition? Its stock. Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 you mean key ignition? Its stock. 373357[/snapback] He means your CDI, it Quote

BrianEb Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Do you have the stock water impeller? If that was not working that might make you lose some power Quote

PolyKarbon Posted June 1, 2005 Author Report Posted June 1, 2005 (edited) Mods are noss head, 21cc domes, boyeson reeds, wiseco pistons, fmf fatty pipes, and other non related stuff. I noticed on my wiring harness, around the cdi area, theres some wires not going anywhere, but theres also no rear light. So how many wires are needed for the rear light, and how many wires for the cdi because there are a few single wires unconnected (I think ground wires?) Thanks guys. white trash Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Your tail light shoud be 3 wires, i wanna say yellow, black and green? not sure though... There is a single ground wire (I think black) with an eyelet that is a ground. The CDI wires are all in a white connector that hook up to the connector on the CDI Quote
PolyKarbon Posted June 1, 2005 Author Report Posted June 1, 2005 I dont know man, I bought the bike used so some stuff is missinf (I.E. tail light, parking brake) and there are loose wires not connected to anything (the single wires). So I dont know whats up with the harness. I might just buy a new harness. Quote
SANDSTAR Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Just get a Clymer's manual. It has the wiring diagram inside. Quote
fastbanshee4u Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Dont start just buying parts, its could be something simple. Quote
