Can't get it in neutral while running!

With the quad shut off it will go into neutral BUT NOT WHILE RUNNING!!!!

 

What is wrong, How do I fix it?

 

 

Anybody have any Ideas?

Make sure that your clutch is adjusted properly.

 

Having your shift start machined will make this easier.

Could also be that the clutch basket is worn.

How old is the bike and how much has it been ridden?

 

Could be something simple like an adjustment, and it could be the clutch is getting wore out and could even be something like the basket as zilla mentioned.

The banshee is a 97 alba The clutch has been replaced before but I don't know how old it is? Runs fine just kinda annoying when you have to shut it off to find Neutral.

roll the bike abit with the clutch in.. and use your hand..

a few things it could be. Stock shift star just doesnt work well, grooved basket, warped clutch plates, or clutch simply too loose

rev it up as you put it in neutral works for me

it could be a number of things. could be that your cable needs adjusted. also could be your clutch is wearing, clutch basket could be worn, inner and outer hubs could be worn..i would start with the cable first and work from there.
