ledofthezep Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I don't believe they're different in size, but I can't give you a sure-fire answer... Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I have two sets sitting next to me: One from a Banshee and one from the YPVS RD350. ... As far as I can see the plate is exactly the same, but the wires are different (which you know), and also the actual stator is totally different. ... The coils are a lot taller, almost twice the height. There are 17 coils on the RD one and there are 12 on the Banshee. The RD one weighs more than double that of the Banshee one. I'll try and get some pics up for you. Rare. Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I'm sure that when I got this RD350 stator, I took resistance readings and found that it was not within the specs of the Banshee one. Here's some pics. Rare. Quote

Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 And a final one. ... Quote
BenBB Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Streetshee!! Where the hell you been? It should work, whether or not it's an elsie, but you are gonna need the whole nine yards to make sure of it; stator, flywheel, CDI, volt reg, battery (or eliminator)...nice pics Rare. You MIGHT be able to get it to work with some rigging without all of the above, but just lookin' at the wiring diagrams between my Bansh and the RZ I'll be running soon, it's alltogether different. Sounds to me like a good way to toast a CDI, which ain't cheap. Good luck. Quote
Nighty Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 yeah what benbb said. it wont run without all the other crap.. you need it ALL including a rd350 flywheel. Quote
broke Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 This is speaking about the RZ from an 85, I don't know about any of the others. The flywheel, you will defiantely need. They will not interchanges, well they will but you don't even want to get into that. The CDI you should be able to use, just make sure those volts are what's needed. hence the regulator. I know if you go that route, you will be messing with a 200 watt system over the Banshee's 40 or whatever the hell it is. I think if I was going through all the trouble, I would just add the powervalves, the jugs themselves are the easy part. Quote
streetshee Posted April 13, 2005 Author Report Posted April 13, 2005 nice one guys, well i have to confess i lied!!! its not for me because ive got mine sorted with a moose stator, one wire feeds the front lights, and the other ive got going to a diode and then to my battery(10amp)the battery feeds the sidelights and brake lights(i rewired the complete electrical system) and blinker system,my shee is fine so,but my boss wants to do it with a customers shee as cheap as poss,(cheapskate shit!) thanks for the info lads,i tell him to order some diodes and moose or the ricky stator oh yeh,my shee is finnished after rebuild and i got a digi cam now so soon i post some pics, seeya, respect.
