  1. I recently bought new chain and sprockets in the heavier duty (530) thickness only to find out that the rear sprocket is a 4 bolt pattern. ... Turns out it is of the Honda pattern and needs a "Honda style sprocket hub for Banshee". Are there any companies out there apart from LSR that make the 4 bolt sprocket hub for the Banshee? Rare.
  2. 'bfs', Hope you've still got your 'Shee aswell! Rare.
  3. What a Summer! What a year! Wow, I've missed her. And now we're rolling again! Wing-a-ding-ding! Do you geys imagine yourselves on the Banshee, and then you get on and pin it through the gears and it's allways better than you thought it would be. ... Well, after the whole Summer without her heart in, 'Shee is a dream to ride again. I didn't even know we had 'Dunes' in Scotland, but thanks to 'BansheeScotland', we have found an amazing place in the North-East of Scotland. (Who wants to sell me a helmet-cam?) ... Got to get this place on film for you all! ... We're going back on the w/e of 26th/27th November, if anyone wants to come? Ton (Nighty), Neilgf, etc. There's everything you could imagine to do with 'Dunes'. Rare.
  4. That's funny! ... Is that why the piston finished up in the gearbox? Rare.
  5. Sorry to make you guys wait so long for these pics. I've been so busy trying to get my own motor back up and running for the last race of the season, which was last Sunday. I gave up at 4:30 on the sunday morning. ... mostly together, but I still had bits and pieces to do and it's now a brand new engine that I was going to thrash round the MX track. I was absolutely knackered and next year isn't going anywhere. Blowing 3 engines in 8 hours has kind of made me wary of risking damaging this one. It's been lashing down (raining heavy) here all week, but tomorrow's the big day for my 'Shee. Wing-a-ding-ding!! ... Can't wait! Here's the pics of tithead's engine. Check out how the rod's sliced right out through the cases and cut a path up through the right side barrel! Rare, but saved from extinction! ... enjoy:
  6. 04le, That's a good Scottish word - "fly". I like it! Rare.
  7. What's one of these?? "deegle double jizzle." ... Just warm in the middle. Rare. Hey bfs, done your trick yet. ... I'm building a ramp for a 120 ft quarry jump. ... Watch this space (or splat!). Read your clymers through and then read it again. You'll get there. Rare.
  8. He's not too pissed about it. ... Wanted an upgrade anyway. The head studs/ nuts were not torquing up about a month ago and I asked him if the head had been fixed and he said "yeah". Cool, so on the 3rd race she blows. ... Coolant pouring out of the head. So... Hydrauliced and sent the rod through the casings and into one of my exhausts. ... All the nuts on that side were loose and when I told tithead, he said "Oh, I didn't realise you meant those bolts, they weren't fixed." DOH!!!!! Yeah, In it to win it. ... My one won't break (hopefully, but if it does then I'm on with the longrod blaster piston'd 370 longrod). My Wiseco longrod (stock stroke) is here now with some 795 pistons. I might have been 'ripped' through HQ on some parts to finish my rebuild, which was why I borrowed tithead's motor. (Hope not, you know who you are!) Rare.
  9. Hey Folks, Has anyone missed me? ... Guess what, Yep! ; I've blown another engine! . ... Errr, and it's Tithead's motor!! ... More on that later. (It's the worst yet! ... You can see the crank through the casings at the front - I must take pics!). It's funny, I came on here thinking "I've got a few mates in this forum" and there's loads of you. , Rare.
  10. Flat side up. Rare.
  11. If it's original harness, then yes. Rare.
  12. The black box is the CDI unit. ... That wire (red/ black) goes to the key switch. It has to be a closed cicuit to earth to run. (In other words, if the key switch has been done away with, then take that wire directly to earth). Rare.
  13. You're not such a spring chicken yourself, Brad! Brooke, do you change your lottery numbers on your birthday? 39's available . Happy birthday to the both of you! Rare.
  14. Cheers Guys, and Brooke. As a Birthday present to myself (my body), I decided to give up smoking (again). ... One day down, rest of my life to go . At least I had a few beers yesterday to keep my mind off it. Today's a bit tougher! What's with the "old men" stuff? ... You're as old as you feel, and I feel about 21. (I lie ... ) .... 40 next time! Rare.
  15. I think it's pretty cool. ... Like introducing yourself at a party. Welcome to the party! Rare.
  16. Is that like ... nearly a tenth? Rare.
  17. 0.09" (ninety thou') = 2.286mm Rare.
  18. ... Don't panic. It is supposed to be up around the main jet. It must have just fell off into the bowl, the first time. You must have been pretty exact to have it go back to it's propper place. EDIT: The pin part of it should go in the hole where the pilot jet is. Rare.
  19. Sandman, welcome to BHQ. You'll find the 'search' function a really useful tool, but you'll need to use it in the right forum. ... There's a new suspension forum, but sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. In the meantime, you'd be better putting a post in the 'Repairs and mods' forum to get help with your ball joints. ... holyman's a bit of a grease expert, so he might chime in. Mudcool, Stop being a JERK! There's a time and a place, and neither of them is on BansheeHQ. Rare.
  20. With the bike warmed up, turn the air screws in by an 1/8th of a turn at a time, leaving about 10 -15 seconds between each adjustment. You're looking for the point where the revs start to drop. If this happens when you're within one turn out then ideally you need to move up to the 27.5 pilots and start fine tuning again. Once you've found this point, see if the throttle response has improved and also if it's cured the 'running on' when you come off the throttle. Rare.
  21. It's usually hard to read the 'tone' of words put over the internet. ... No problems there! Yeah, that curve three is quite a favoured one. ... I went from stock to curve 1 and blew the crank apart. (There were a few other contributing factors). Good luck 'tweaking', you'll get there. Rare.
