MDS2106 Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 well its rebuild time and i am thinking about going with the vitos piston kit. i have read that a few people have had problems with them. has anyone had good luck with them ? do they give a noticible power increase like they claim? will they last? any input is appreciated. thanks MARK Quote
banshdog Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 No experience with them. From what I was told they are modified Weisco pistons. As long as they are reliable, and you have the extra cash, why not Quote
Capone Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 (edited) I used the superstock pistons, and the power pistons. if you don't have porting or porting plans, the superstock are the way to go. You'll feel a difference, make sure you get the jet kit for them. I'd call they'll hook ya up. I had goodluck with the superstocks, but the power pistons melted on me. Superstocks are pretty hardcore, and durable. Poorman's port job! Edited April 1, 2005 by Shee K Quote
Elka Banshee Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 I used the powervalve series from vitos. I think thats the name, it was a piston that acted like it gave teh machine a mild port the way it was cut. anyways, it was awesome, i had an awesome experience with them. Quote
Tim C Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 I've run Vito's SS pistons for 3 or 4 years now with no complaints. You will definitly see a noticible power gain. Quote
LTDANIEL Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Wiseco make vito's pistons, vito's just make the specs for what they want for the pistons Quote
MDS2106 Posted April 1, 2005 Author Report Posted April 1, 2005 the price i found for the power piston kit is kinda hard to pass up. I just don't want to f-ck up my cylinders. hell i am on a 1999 and still on stock bore with good compression, i kinda feel like i am running on borrowed time Quote
