Im-Loving-It 69 Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I have been using Klotz for about a year now and believe that it is the best oil to use, But that is just me. Um I think that 32:1 is a little rich i like using 40:1 And if you put the oil in the can first and then put the gas it mixes it up for you. but if not the yes. Quote
ssanddemon Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 (edited) I have run Benol @ 60:1 since new in late '02. Always in the dunes, and usually pegged out. Tore down the topend for sh-ts and giggles a couple months ago and put in pro lites. No real reason, they just fit tighter and give better power than the stockers. Found pistons and jugs perfect with crosshatch all the way up . Richer mixes are better for the bearings, but give a leaner mixture, less power. Something like 40 to 60:1 is in the safe range for the good oils. I have heard of guys running 80:1, but they may be doing teardowns every few years. Edited March 28, 2005 by ssanddemon Quote

I was told Wiseco does all their testing with Klotz. I run 32:1 just because oil is cheaper than a crank. I always shake the can just to make sure its mixed. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I run klotz r50 at 32-1 in my banshee, 250r,eton 40, and lem cayman. Irun it at 50-1 in my weed whips and blowers.no problems with any of them. Quote
NYCBanshee7 Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I used to run Yamalube 32:1 for years. Now I run Klotz SuperTechniplate 32:1 and it runs so much better. Smells awesome too. Quote

locogato11283 Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 40:1 for a long time now. no problems. Quote
BigCP Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 yeah man its pink but, barely and i have used both the benol and the super techiplate mixed at 32:1 in my shee and my chainsaws, i have a modified 3120 husqvarna chainsaw and a cr250 engine made into a chainsaw that i use on a pro lumberjacks series and i haven't had problems although i know what you are sayin and i was a bit leary at first because it looked like straight gas was going in but, it is mixed! i guess thats just what it looks like so im sure you are ok with it Quote
DuneRoller Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I have run Klotz SuperTechniPlate @ 32:1 for awhile now with no problems. Love it. My bike seems to actually run cooler than it did on Yamalube. Quote
richybanshee Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 Run Klotz SuperTechniPlate @ 32:1 and like how it smells. Also, Motul 800 is a great choice. Quote
joshdagreat56 Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 I've always used benol mixing 40:1 Love the smell , I even throw a little in my john deere mower it helps me to enjoy mowing the yard My friend runs a little in his 426 too. Never had any problems. But i must agree 32:1 is a little rich I would go at least 40:1 That will keep your plugs clean for alot longer. Quote
jinx44 Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Watch what fuels you use with Benol. It will not mix with a lot of them. It also seperates at cold temps. My exhaust ports were covered in carbon buildup. I switched to Motul and will never go back to benol. Quote
gonzoret Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 its also a good idea to shake the bottle before you mix it with the gas. specially if its been sitting for a while. i've been using 927 @ 40:1 with no problems, but am thinking of switching to KLOTZ and see how it works. which one should i use?
