I have tried out the ford, chevy, and dodge and really don't have too much of a gripe about any of them. Its all in what you want the truck to do. My dads company just bought three new duramax trucks and i tell you what that thing will run. i pulled a 550 john deere dozer on my gooseneck with it and it didn't even grunt. The only problem was stopping  All the guys i know with a dodge cummins have no problems either unless they have an automatic tranny and my buddy has ford with a 6.0 in it and it seems to be pretty strong so i guess its whatever your preference is. You might talk to jeff from f.a.s.t. on here and he could give you some insight on some of the different models and the pros and cons of each one. I tell you though that duramax sure will smoke the tires  Good luck with your decision!

i have owned two different 250r bikes and i really regret ever selling them. One was more modified than the other but, they both ran great and i believe giving the right situation where i ride mostly trails the 86r i had would spank my banshee. The value of those things are just so high especially around here. i know where a 87 is right now that has sit outside in the weather going on two years and the guy won't budge on a price of 3 grand. I could never get 3 grand for my banshee and i would like to think its in pretty good shape.

you might try www.cosmicquads.com i just have bought a seat from them and im really impressed you can pretty much get whatever you want. the website has some pretty nice pics of different seats you can get.

bluetraxx.com has a very detailed tech section with pics on how to do it. Maybe that will help some and welcome to the hq!

i have one of the lsr hubs on mine and haven't had any problems as of yet. The whole rear end is lonestar really and i haven't had problems with the swinger or nuts or hubs but, i really don't have any great engine mods so that might be why but, so far so good.
-
i might also add that i switched from a barnett to the f.a.s.t. clutch that jeff sells and i could tell a major difference between this one and the barnett although all of my riding buddies swear by barnett and from what i have seen really haven't had any major problems as of yet.
-
i bought one from them before, it came with heavy duty springs and also with some lighter ones in the kit. it worked pretty well and i heard of some people alternating the springs with 3 heavy duty ones and 3 regular.

i had 12 years of piano lessons and if i can give you some advice on it, it would be to take heed to the old saying "if you don't use it you lose it" i used to be able to tear it up but, now im lucky to even wing some traditional songs. I could play the piano part to november rain no problem in 10th grade and now i suck but, i still play the drums in a rock band but, i don't think im a stand out on those either. All the sheet music i have here is kinda lame but, i will ask around and see what i can come up with. what exactly are you lookin for? pop? classical? let me know

im about a hour and a half drive away from there across the virginia line. I didn't know they raced quads there? I would definitely be interested in trying it sometime or if anyone is interested in coming to virginia to ride one weekend i have several places to go if anyone is interested. All the people around here just don't ride like they used to. Well, let me know something! thanks CP

i know my ears will probably burn after posting this but, i just bolted a set of T-5's on my shee tonite and decided to give it a few trial runs up the driveway. keep in mind that my bike currently has fattys on it and don't get me wrong i am completely satisfied with them but, i wanted to help a buddy out so i decided to let him bolt the fmf's on his bike to see if he liked them and might possibly purchase. My first impression was the sound! damn its alot sweeter than fattys and the power increase i thought was slightly more. This is just my opinion though and by no means is my bike anything special. i have a set of rockets also that i have stashed away for my stroker motor im getting fixed this winter but, i just wanted to post this about the T-5's and how impressed i am with them. the sound, the look, the performance is great in my opinion. I guess thats why everyone likes toomey. I have heard though that those shearer pipes also will crank it up so im thinkin about tryin some of those too.

im currently running the 35pwk air stryker carb on my shee and i haven't had any problems so far. i ride alot of mountain trails that are tight and steep so i really don't get it up to speed like alot guys do in the dunes im sure. i know my mods aren't that extreme yet but, i have talked to several reputable quad guys and most say that the single carb will run good with serious engine mods but, the duals do better, personally i like the single because of the ease of use and those keihin carbs in my opinion are super reliable and easy to jet. my shee starts first kick everytime even cold or even sittin in the basement for two weeks in the air conditioning. i still have a little fine tuning to do on the 35mm carb as its new but, so far no complaints and a nice improvement on bottom end over stock. i rode my buddies banshee the other day which used to be mine anyway and he has had the trinity 420 long rod kit installed and man i tell you it really lacked the low end mine has but, im sure once he gets his goin it will blow my doors off. hope this helps you out and if you are contimplating my advice is to give it a try and if you don't like it someone will buy it from you on here so what do you have to lose??
-
yeah man if your clutch is slippin your bike definitely won't hook as well. you will rev but, you won't go anywhere. jeff at f.a.s.t. racing in kansas will hook you up with a bad ass clutch for your bike, i have been so happy with mine since i got it and im sure you will too. That axle if its bent real bad could be a problem too, my buddy has one thats bent so bad that it will knock the teeth out of your head when you ride it on pavement. If you replace with a new one i would suggest a lonestar because of their warranty but, im sure someone on here has a deal waitin for ya! just my opinion
-
in my opinion i think the honda 250r is the best sport quad of all time. i have owned 2 of them and they performed flawlessly but, the shee is just a better fit for me being a big guy and all but, the old R will always be a stand out in my books with the shee coming in a close 2nd place!

rivers and rocks huh? bud im gonna give you some good advice on that forget all about them 20 inchers and get some 22's, don't matter what kind, holeshots, razrs, kendas whatever you will save yourself some grief from beating the shit out of your swingarm skid plate if you are runnin one if not i suggest gettin one. i myself have one particular place to ride that i bought a set of wheels and tires just for the place because of the river crossings, rocks, deep and i mean deep ruts, and deep mud. i have holeshots in the 22" right now and have and identical set in the 20" on separate wheels and i tell ya what there is the biggest difference in the two as far as clearance. you wouldn't think it would make much of a difference but it does, gets that skid plate farther from mother earth. before i used to have a shitty set of white warrior wheels with some stock ohtsu 300ex balloon tires on and it handled like a couch but, that mother would go and outgo 4x4 bikes in some cases. if you find yourself hung up on roots, rocks, ruts, and all other kinds of nasty stuff i think you would be happy with a 22 inch tire just my opinion though.
