a smaller swinger has what type of advantage on a track?... an di do think my clutch is fulkered up... same one since 01.. haha

the smaller swinger will bring the tires closer to your ass and put more weight on them, giving you more traction due to the added weight. It will want to wheelie a tad more, but it'll be alright.

Move your gearing to 15/41 and start in second and you'll be doing good. The 15 front tooth will help with the spin and the wheeling, the 2nd gear start will get you out of the whole quicker and the swinger will keep you from spinning so much. The swinger is good for the trace because coming out of corners, you'll accelerate faster and spin less. Tire spin is a big downfall for the banshee.

Yes, I have a stock one that's been professionally shortened, just needs painting. It'll make it more fun to ride on the track as well, guaranteed. Jumping will be easier, wheelies will be easier, and you'll come out of the hole quicker.

Boonman used to lighten flywheels, don't know if he's gotten out of it or not. Might shoot him a PM and tell him I sent ya. Haven't talked to him in a little bit. There are a few other peeps on here that do it as well. I'll check around.

CarbParts.com

That' a good place to anything carb related. I'd call em on the phone and discuss what you need with them.

In regards to Sat., don't think I'm gonna be able to make it. There's a slight chance, but think the wife has some things planned for Mother's Day.... She wants to do it Sat instead of Sun so we don't have to get up early the next day...

We'll hook up somehow tho.

just a repost.. i slapped the 15 tooth in and we ran em on a short strip on the dirt.. but we hung right next to eachother.. i still feel that i havent yet reved out and i rode the track and my bottom end was still there..

ya think i can switch to a 16 tooth or is that too much? i did a WOT on the 15 and it didnt bog in none of the gears. :shrugani:

I say go for it! If you have a case saver you "might" have to shave it a little to fit the 16 tooth...BUT, you can also buy a bigger rear sprocket to get more gear...1 tooth on the front sprocket is equivolent to 3 teeth on the rear sprocket.

So, if you only want to get a little bit more gear, get a sprocket with 1 or 2 more teeth in the rear.
