First of all there's nothing wrong with the Vito's hemihead, but we have a forum sponser here named Noss Machine. David Noss is the owner and a regular contributer to these forum. The vast majority of Banshee owners on this forum run a Noss head on their Banshees. David is always here to help owners of his heads. His customer support is unmatched by anyone selling any ATV parts that I'v ever seen. Supporting our sponsors supports the BansheeHQ  .

Dome sizes. A stock Banshee heads dome are something like 24cc's. You can buy domes as small as 15cc's and anywhere inbetween. Rule of thumb says 19cc's and lower will require high octane "race gas". The $6 dollar a gallon stuff. 20, 21, 22, 23, 24cc domes will work with pump gas. Run the high octane (93\94 octane) gas when your using 20cc domes. The smaller the dome you run, the more cylinder compression you will get. So there's the basic dome info, you'll need to choose the dome size you'd think is best for your situation. I wouldnt go under 20cc's without having a "built" motor, meaing..... porting work and crankshaft mods. 20cc's will give you quite a good kick in ass compared to the stock head.

there is such a small diffrence between the performance of the mainstream head, that i just went with the noss becasue thats what my builder prefered. i would have bought one from him either way, i think it is by far the best looking head out there, and the fact that it is available in diffrent colors is great!! i have not dealed directly with the dlnoss, but from what i have heard and seen, he is very helpfull. the quality of the product is also high, plus he gives a discount to banshee hq members  what more could you want!!

20cc domes would be about right for your aplication. You could run 19cc domes with no problem also and that is what I personally run but then you have to run a mix of race gas and pump gas. If you only ride once every few weekends like myself I would get smaller domes but if your ride everyday then the price for race gas will start adding up. Your engine will also run much cooler with a noss head. If the price of a aftermarket head is a little high for your taste then you can have your stock head shaved and the domes reshaped which will virtually do about the same thing as the aftermarket head will do. Price for a modded head will run about $90 and Im sure there are a few members on the forum that can do it for you.

Thats like asking is a blaster faster than a banshee!!!! They do not compare in my book, Noss head all the way! They run much cooler than all of the other heads!

How do Noss heads compare to Trinity heads? Nevermind the price, Im talkin about performance.

I'm not sure what cylinders you're bidding on but if they are 80 over as you say they may need to be resleeved. You might want to look at something that is used but on the first bore then get them bored for new pistons.

I Have Pro-Design Coolheads, But Only Because I Bought Pipes From A Friend, And The Heads Were Part Of The Deal. I Had Installation Questions About The Pro-Design Heads And DL Noss Gave Me Instuctions. Pro Design Doesnt Even Have A E-Mail. Thanks to DL Noss I Got The Installation Instructions. I Would Buy The Noss Head No Questions Asked, He Is A Great Guy.
