GSXR 1000
Put 34mm carbs on the shee and was wondering why the trottle is so hard to push? Will the springs loosen up or is there another fix cause I can not ride all day my thumb gets way to sore. Was thinking maybe twist throttle any opions or fixxes? Thanks in advance
bkabina
I like the twist throttle and will not be switching back. But it is what you like that matters. You can cut some of the spring off so it isnt so long, probably the best way,but some people also grind some off the sides of the springs too. Machwon
I usually cut the carb springs so that there is only one extra coil of spring when the slide is in the idle position and remove the spring from the thumb throttle. Works fine from there.
locogato11283
cut a few loops off the springs or go little by little until you can stand the throttle pull...works like a charm.
FORMULASPEED
You can get an extended billet thumb throttle from mod quad or magic racing.

BdBanshee
I just clipped a few coils off of the springs, big difference.

I new throttle cable can also make a huge difference if yours is old.
