sandornothing
Looking to pep up my wifes banshee. It only has a K&N and Pro Circuits right now. We ride only in the dunes, so what do you guys think will give a better gain? Ive got them both on my bike, but i did them both at the same time so I cant decide. Looking for some feedback. 05bansh
I would say the noss all the way. Its going to give you better cooling, which = more hp, and more compression.
switchblade
I would say the noss all the way. Its going to give you better cooling, which = more hp, and more compression. 318319[/snapback] I have seen some dyno numbers on the v-force it's 3 horsepower across the board. I doubt you would get that with a head.
locogato11283
i would say that the v force reeds are gonn get you more power but more compression will also help you out. i would say that either mod will greatly benefit you... sandornothing
Yeah im leaning towards a Noss head im thinking....reeds dont help with cooling. Plus the blue anodized head just looks tits.

racer
the issue of a cool head being cooler running is really up to you. if you use a factory dome size (cant remember if its 22 or 23) youll get better cooling. but as compression goes up with the smaller dome sizes so does your heat. so some if not all of your added cooling effects can or be negated when using a smaller dome size. i run 19's and dont have over heating problems in the dunes, so id go with the head. maybe slip the reeds in for mothers day. sandman121383
i'd say go with the head. women appreciate nicer looking things, plus with the head u get more compression and cooling like others have added. the reeds only really give u throttle response, which is great. but i think a head and domes is a wiser dolar for dolar decision. BIGGIN@STL
I think going with the reeds and getting better flow would be the best way to go. Put those carbs and pipes to better use. The only real benefit to the cool head is better heat dissapation with stock sized domes but lets face it stock sucks and you're wanting more performance. Running the smaller sized domes requires that you increase the octane so I think running premium pump gas with those new Vforce reeds would be your best choice. Save the coolhead for when she decides she can throw in on some race gas.
twinzr900
sorry this isnt my post but i can see you guys are talking about v-force....is the v-force 3 better then the 2s? i am looking for info on the two diffrent reeds.. thanks
01bansheefox
I would go with the reeds, also get that ice stuff for the engine and it will be cooler than getting that custom head. So you can get reeds + the ice engine coolent for the price of a head.
sandornothing
Youre probally right about the reeds making it feel faster, but if you guys are like me then you probally have better things to do then take carbs apart to rejet. I had to jet up 2 sizes for my V force. Something about taking the slides apart (springs, locking plate, and trying not bend the needles) just erks me the wrong way. That Noss can be done in about a half hour since it uses stock studs. Plus i can see if there is any shimmy in the pistons with the head off. Thanks for input fellas, my blue Noss head will be here Friday care of DLNOSS. I'll post pictures when im done if anyone cares to see.
