stockridinshee Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 I was riding my sisters dirt bike the other day and i love the way i can pull the front wheel off the ground in any gear. I really want my banshee to do this. If i go with a 13 teeth front sproket would that give me low end and pull up to front wheeles easyer? Quote

Great power and easy to wheelie. We sometimes do this with our stock dune bikes Quote
05bansh Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 Do it, its a very cheap and effective way of giving you a little more low end, its also good when you are running bigger tires. I have a 13 tooth, I just havent put it in yet. My shee is still in the graphic shop. Quote
SICK BOY Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 I ran one for MX last year.If you change one tooth size on front,it's like changing three on the back.I was at a real small tight MX track last year, and I was runing 13-43. Quote
smokinwrench Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 I am runing 12/41 and will probably never switch again. Quote
kenr74 Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Lots of us run 13/41 with 22" paddles in the sand. I love having all that lowend coming up out of a treeshot. Quote
KRMit Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 I had 13/44 gearing and could pop it up in any gear (although 6th took some effort). It definately helps with wheelies. Quote
kb7kuh Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Go with it. Makes a big difference. I start out in 2nd gear most of the time, and like Kenr74 said it's great for tree shots. Quote
racer714 Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 what is stock gearing anyway? I jut put 22" realitors on the rear, if i just dropped 1 tooth in front will it help with low end? is it too much? what do u guys recommend? Quote

I'm attaching an Excel spreadsheet I got off this board some time ago that can help. Quote
iceman Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Probably shouldnt be asking on the bhq, but I am going to get a 11 or 13 tooth front sprocket on my kx, because I have a 14 now, and I want more bottom end, but I don't know what size to get in the rear. What would you guys recommend? Quote
