Fireman-hott Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Ok I run the 35mm 2 into 1 kit. Now my pilot is at 50, but shold be at 52. If I get the pilot to say 55, and bump the needle clip up to the 3rd from the top instead of 4th from the top, would that set me somewhere close to a 52ish pilot. The shee doesn't wanna idle with the 50, but if I take the slack outta the throttle cable it will idle perfectly. The only problem is I gotta hold the trottle. Screwing with the cable didn't take up the slack like I wanted. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Remove the little black box under the left side of the gas tank. Quote
Banchetta Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 The needle and pilot are two different areas of jetting. YOu have to have some lift on the slide to idle properly. Don't you have an idle screw on the carb? Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 even if you get it to idle, with the pilot being to small you will have a huge flat spot when you take off. if you bought the trinity kit you should be able to turn your choke knob to increase your idle. but with the carb not jetted right it's not going to run good Quote
motohawk Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Have you tried to dial in the air screw? That is a good way to tell if you need a different pilot. Get it running and turn the screw until it idles best. Under 1 turn out and you need a bigger pilot and over 2.5 and you need a smaller one. That will get you going in the right direction. Quote
