ranshee Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 For all you guys out there with +2 or +3 a-arms. What brand of brake line do you guys use? Or what kind would you recommend? Have any of you guys heard of streamline? Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 for +2 you dont need them I heard. Quote
fixitrod Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 CottenEyeJoe sells nice stainless lines. http://www.dunedevilinc.com/index.php?acti...epart&partid=34 Quote
mat Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 I plan to move the mounting tabs on the frame where the hoses connect to the steel lines. I should be able to move the tabs forward and out enough to keep from having to buy brake lines. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 Stream line's are decent, my buddie has them, no problems. I run Galfers, no problems. Quote
racer Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 I run Galfers, no problems. those will be my choice when the time comes. Quote
sredish Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 I run Galfers, no problems. those will be my choice when the time comes. Galfers here as well. Whether you need the extension or not, the additional braking power is much needed. The difference is night and day. The Galfers have the T down under the radiator, rather than the mess of 2 lines coming off of the master cylinder, so keep that in mind. I think the Galfers are a tad more money, but worth it. Quote
SICK BOY Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 I run Streamline, and i like them. Quote
oldturtle Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 For my +2 arms I ran stock brake lines in front of shocks zip tied to upper A-arms and works fine. As far as more braking power with steel braided lines, I don't see any need for more braking power when riding in the dunes but this is a dune novice speaking. Quote
ranshee Posted October 23, 2004 Author Report Posted October 23, 2004 Thanks for the input guys. Quote
broke Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Galphers here too. I have never found a great way to mount them, has anyone come up with any creative to mount the T? Quote
ranshee Posted October 23, 2004 Author Report Posted October 23, 2004 does'nt it just fit in one of the 3 holes that stock one mounts to. I know only one hole has threads so you would have to get a bolt and nut. Quote
Meat Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 I think the majority of stainless brake lines are identical product. Iv heard some have a teflon liner inside em so I suppose thats better. But Iv run LoneStar lines, the ones that sell on Ebay, and Iv run CottonEyedJoe's stainless brake lines. They all work a hellava lot better than stock rubber lines. Support a fellow BHQ member and get a set of DuneDevils lines. Quote
FireHead Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 for +2 you dont need them I heard. You heard wrong, unless you pull them from the stock mounting tabs. Galfer or Fastline are the way to go for commercially available parts. Otherwise to to your local hydraulic shop nad have them through you a set together. Quote
