  1. If you really want to be by the book then you need to get in touch with the BLM (bureau of land management). Look them up on the web. They will be able to tell you who to contact regarding these issues. You could also try the Imperial County sheriffs.
  2. You need a orange or red flag I dont think the silencers are considered spark arrestors. I dont have any sparkys on my bike in glamis. As long as you dont do anything stupid in front of the rangers they wont sweat you. your bikes need to be registered, red or green sticker in Ca. If they are registered in another state then I think you have to get a visitors registration. Just another way to some more money. Mine is registered in Ca, but I have not put the sticker on the bike sence 04. Like said above, dont give the rangers any reason to sweat you and you'll be fine. The biggest thing they drive around and check for is to see if you have your $90 yearly pass in the window.
  3. Thats your neutral cover, or shift drum cover. That leads directly to the trans behind it. If it breaks any more it will start leaking tranny fluid. buy a billet one from cascade or someone like that. They are like $20 bucks or so. It happened to me as well.
  4. Not sure what spring you'd be running. precision concepts. contact these guys.
  5. All you'll need is the throttle cable. Take the grommet that the tors wire goes in to and fill the hole with a little rtv so no sand or dirt gets in there.
  6. If every thing has already been removed, all you'll need is the thumb throttle assembly and a new cable.
  7. I'd feel bad about scratchin a record on one of those things
  8. Thats funny shit  927 for me, all the four jokes behind me agree as well
  9. You need the thumb throttle assembly, and a new cable. If the the tors boxes have also been removed from the top of the stock carbs, then you'll need the cable from the tors removal kit along with the carb tops. You can find a whole after market assembly from companies like terry cable.
  10. The stock rear shock on a banshee is not a bad shock at all. You can have it re valved and sprung for your weight. A good shop to have it done at is precision concepts in SD. Have a few friends that have done this and love it.
  11. I think alot of the reason it was not to crowded was due to the fires. Lots of people prolly lost their toys in this one. Almost stayed home myself.
  12. ESR, Prolly Eddie sanders racing. More known for 250Rs. I have one of there temp gauges on bike.
  13. You really dont need a kit. All it is,is 2 filters and 2 pipe clamps. If you prefer, 2 pre filters. I guess they may call it a kit. As far as coolant overflow, you can get that from cascade, quicksand racing.
  14. Try daryl smith sand tires in lemon grove Ca.
  15. Have a couple items Im wantin to gt rid of. Ive got a stock air box with pro flow type adapter and filter with outerware. A big bar adapter to run 1 1/8 bars. Its made by Stan (Cotton Eyed Joe). Its anodized black. I also have some ac nerf bars. The ones with the propegs and heelgaurds. Im not sure if I have the hardware that you mount the front of them to the frame. easy to find though. $70 OBO for the filter plus airbox $125 OBO for the nerfs $50 OBO for the adapter
  16. $200 plus shipping. Some one here has to want some TR-6s
  17. My little pony  Thats funny shit, My little brother and his best friend at the time used to play with them things. His friend turned out to be gay and I'm still wonderin about him. HAHAHA
  18. With Prince Albert and all
  19. Really, for the most part its pretty simple. Drain your coolant and oil. Pull all hoses from the top end. Pull the head and gasket. remove the juggs. Have them honed or bored, whatever is needed. stuff some rags around the rods so nothing falls in the crank. clean surface for base gasket. push bearings out of pistons and remove them. clean rods for new bearings. Install new needle bearings. put on new pistons and make sure your new circlips fit into the grooves. You will see what Im talkin bout when you pull them apart. Also make sure you dont drop one into the crank. Hence the rags. you also need to make sure the gap on the rings is appropriate for you application. You can have the shop that hones your cylinders do this. Bring your top end kit with you when you have the cylinders honed. once this is all done, you will install the rings on your pistons. Make sure the gap is lined up with pin on the inside race of the piston. Then you'll need to take one of the rods up to top dead center and slowly put one jug on at a time. Once on you should be able to see if your rings are still centered through the intakes. Bolt down to proper torque specs. Make sure your head gasket area is clean for new gasket. Install new gasket then cleaned head. After this you should put on your reeds and intakes with new gaskets and do a leak down test. There are a lot of threads on this. I think rnbrad has a good one on this topic. Then put your carbs and exhaust on and break it in, of course after adding your coolant and trans oil of choice. The biggest thing you want to keep in mind is keeping every thing clean. Power wash your bike before doing this so nothing falls into your motor while doing the top end. Good luck and you'll its really a pretty easy as long as you take your time and have some patience .
  20. Ive got stock cylinders stock bore, stock carbs, intakes, but cut for v-force, may have a stock head somewhere. What u lookin to get for the cubs.
  21. Oh, so you want the intake manifolds. I have some as well in the garage I think. But they have been cut for V-force reeds.
  22. It shouldn't wreck your your motor if jetted properly. The only thing your going to have to worry about wrecking is your bike when you get a fist full of throttle for the first time
  23. Throw it in the back of your truck. J/K. That already sounds pretty quick, how did you get them numbers, gps? You could try taller gearing.
