yeah I know tranny oil change has nothing to do with it I just wanted to point out allk I did, and just washed the bike is what I meant

Ahhh, you washed it....thats why. The banshee is very sensitive to water....A lot of us have tried to figure it out, be can't put the actual finger on it...The stock carbs get hit w/ water and the shee won't run for shit for a awhile....You could also check to see if the air filter is wet....If the filter is fine, then run the shee until it warm, then shut it off, start it up about 10 minutes later and it usually comes out of it....Do a search on here. There was a BIG discussion on this..

Also check to see if there is any water in the coil connectors...my wifes bike had a leak on radiator...and fluid got into the coil...it ran like crapola until I cleaned out the connectors.

Good luck! Let us know what you find.

T :whoa:

yeah on vacuum tube, no tors connected, no parking brake, I just spent the last 2 nites entirely dismantling both carbs, kinda dirty and throughly cleaning them out, I yanked my snorkle off and figured since itis gonna be cooling off soon, I went up 2 main jet sizes(220), remember its stock.I just need to get everything back together then I'll let you know what happens, won't prob kick it over till tom nite, so any other ideas welcome as hell! Peace

I had the same problem once. Every time I washed it, or went through a puddle it died. It would idle sometimes (badly) but die immediatley upon throttle. I checked everything (I thought) which included elimating tors and parking brake. Finally I decided to tear through the electrical wiring.

I eventually found a set of frayed wires at the airbox. The airbox has three plastic "Fingers" that hold the wiring harness to the box. Well, the fingers wore a hole in the wiring over time (My bike was practically new!) and when water hit it, it would make a connection and short the CDI.

I suggest checking the airbox, then proceed to check out your wiring harness. Chances are you may have a short somewhere!

Hey Banchetta, any idea where I coud find that post? Ive looked everywhere :yank:

Do a search on throttle sticking and Fixitrod started the post...there is one topic w/ over 16 pages on this...you shouldn't jerk off while using the computer, it only creates sticky keys....... ;)

Me too, I'll ride through water at least a foot deep and have no issues with my carbs....
