bansheeigo Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I have riding boots(o-neals) that i want to beak in fast .When i put them on and ride my shee its hard to shift. Can you put them in water for a while or put mink oil on them or is there another way you can do this? Thanks for your help. Quote
ledofthezep Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Dunno other than wearing the chit out of them...around the house, mowing the lawn...mine are the same way. I've got to get me a black rad & tank cover...that's just too purty. Quote
SANDSTAR Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Soak em' in neatsfoot oil and ride all day. Love the black look. Classic and clean. Quote
tats4life Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 wear them in the shower with you and soak them in water or use that shit guys use to soften up baseball gloves. Quote
Wassup350 Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Ride the hell out of them and get use to them being stiff and it will gradually get softer. I feel like im wearin nikes when i wear my boots now after being use to em. I think all the mud and water and stuff helps loosen them up a lot too. Quote
Kg8 Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 i ran them over with the car it works Quote
white trash Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 i ran them over with the car it works LMAO Quote
FireHead Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 You could go out in the yard and start kicking your own ass with them. That oughta break them in pretty fast. However, if this is the best idead that I have all day, I may need to go do the same thing. Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 wear them everywhere you can, expecially in the shower...or get some alpinestars Quote
Yamahammer Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 wear them .. little trick also is to raise the shifter arm one or two teath so that you can fit under it easier thats what i did , ( thanks evil) Quote
Otis Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 i dont know about the o-neals, but dont expect em to be real easy to move in. i've had my Astars for 2 years now and they are still hard as rocks....that may be a good thing though... but i do like the "run them over w/ the car" idea..... Banshee~ Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 soak them in olive oil over night that should work Quote
philshee Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Spray the leather parts with WD-40, that should soften them up. Thats what I do with leather gloves after they get wet, and dry stiff. Softens them right up, should do the same for boots. Quote
