  1. Found the problem, the sliders where put in the wrong carb. It has a flat spot at the beginning of the rpms but it hauls ass now. Maybe its normal for stock banshee because its been 11 years since i rode a stock banshee and forgot how a stock banshee feels. Thanks again for your help.
  2. Changed the fuel, carbs synced, did not have crossover tube but one on, floats are in the correct carbs. I couldn't do a spark plug chop because of where i live. The thing i haven't checked was the the sliders to see if they are in the correct carbs, i'll check it plus the other things in the morning. Thanks for responding.

    Oil

I have some oil for the shee that i bought a while back that have never been open and i was wondering how long can oil stay good, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years? Thanks for your replies.
  5. I had boyesen reeds on my stock valves and it made a real difference in top end alot more top end. later i changed to v-force 2's and made alot more bottom end power and still had the top end like the boyesen reeds and now on trail rides I don't have shift gears alot like use to ,it feels like a 4-stroke, thats my experinece with v-force reeds 2 and i'll stay with them.
  6. I e-mailed Lonestar about the ft\lbs four days ago and they haven't answered back yet. Yeah I know what would happen if my hubs are loose all the time.Went riding in glamis came back the next day and my hubs where loose just a little bit. I used a cresent rench on the axle nuts and i tighten it real tight so i tryed to put the cotter pin in hole and wouldn't go in so i had to go back then it went in. I don't want to go too far forward because I don't want to strip the threads so thats why I want to know the ft\lbs of torque. So BLUE loctite is the way to go right? Can someone tell me if they used loctite on thier axle threads and did it help? Thanks for your replies.
  7. Black SunShine, I'm not talking about the locknut that holds the axle on the swingarm, I'm talking about the nuts that go on the ends of the axle that hold the hubs on.I threw those stock ones away along time ago. So Red loctite is ok to put on the threads(end of the axle)of the axle so they won't get loose, but does anybody know how muck foot pounds of torque go on the nuts? thanks for your replies.
  8. I'm not worried about it coming off, and yes mine has cotter pins on them. I just want to know how much foot pounds of torque to put on them without them coming loose and my hubs(stock hubs) move a little bit back and forth. If I use loctite on the threads which one should I use, RED or,BLUE? Thanks for your replies.
  9. I was wondering what the torgue spec was on the axle nut?, I bought it in 99 and also wondering if it was the same now than it was then(torque that is)? Thanks for your answers.
  10. Yes its the float bowl screws and two are striped on each carb. The screws go all the way through and I think i'll go buy a tap\drill bit combo out of town at homedepot , but i'm still wondering if anyone had the same problem i have, what they did, and how did it turn out? Thanks.
  11. Ok, I have a 5mm tap and screws(4mm is original)but I can't find the right size of drill bit to use.On the internet they say to use a #19 drill bit or a 4.3mm .1693 decimal inches but in this little town I live in don't have this size of drill bit so I'm going to have to order it from the net.Has anybody done this and it came out ok or did something else?, please need some answers. Thanks.
  12. Thanks Banshee4Drag but no thanks i'll keep the ones I have.I just want to know if anybody had the same problem i have?Should i use a metric or a standard tap? Thanks for your help.
  13. I have stock carbs and the problem is the screws are not striped its where screws screw in.Should i retap the carbs with the same size screw or should i retap with bigger streads meaning bigger screws? What should I do?(can't afford new carbs)Thanks for your help.
  14. Hey MotulMonsta check out GLAMISWEATHER.COM it will answer all your temp. questions plus live cams and videos of glamis.Have fun out there but be careful,Later.
  15. I found this, it might help you. http://www.bluetraxx.com/aluminum_impeller_new.htm
  16. I don't know what size the screw is(i think its a metric) but you can do this to find out at the hardware store.Get the original screw and find a nut that can screw on it and then get another screw that looks the same as the original and if the nut screws in then thats the one.Now just look for same length (it should be in the same place)and you're done. Hope this helps,Later.
  17. I went to ACE today and said that they might have some rolls of insulation thats damaged ,so i can get as much as i can without getting the whole roll. I waited for a long time for help and never came so i left.I'll get it tomorrow, Thanks guys.
  18. From where i live to Glamis there are no bike stores.Glamis is just 65 miles from where i live. The town i live in is very small, but i still need a good brand of packing for my toomeys from Ace hardware stores only.thanks for your help.
  19. I know that FMF sells packing and thats what i have in them right(toomeys T-5s) now but i need some right now because i'm going to Glamis in three days and the bike shop in town don't have it on hand so they have to order it and it will take about four days so I NEED IT NOW!

  22. Yeah i can't wait for that. I rode my buddy's 700 rappy,it has a white bros. carbon fiber exhaust,k&n filter, and remapped and added something else a friend of his at a yamaha dealer installed but wouldn't tell him what it was, anyways i rode this thing and i was impressed. It was beating drag banshee with 10'' swingarms and paddles, they were racing in a arorrow(a wash) just outside of Phoenix,Az .Nice bike but I won't give up my 97 SHEE!
