Blue_SS Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 anybody have the 420 powervalve from trinity with the tt porting? im a flat track racer and was looking into this motor? Quote
broke Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 The motor itself is great and proven. I would see if I could by virgin jugs from them and have somebody else port it. Trinity does not have a great track record and I do have a friend who has been dealing with them on that very set up for a long time now and still doesn't have a running motor. Quote
yanks5164 Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 lrd makes a 420 pwervalve if thats wut u want thats the company to get it from the only good thing trinity makes is their 2 into 1 carb Quote
cjm02ram Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Everyone sayd trinity makes junk, not true. Daren has a trintity setup on his bike and it rips. he also had a 420LR i believe that was fast. Quote
racer Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 yeah you can get unported jugs with the cheetah setup. its an option, and it cheaper. Quote
banshee0044 Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Everyone sayd trinity makes junk, not true. Daren has a trintity setup on his bike and it rips. he also had a 420LR i believe that was fast. true!...i got a 420 banshee from trinity..and that thing flies.. Quote
cjm02ram Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 I have seen some K&T 535's run that are stretched out for full bklown drag and they were fast, but I seen Darens old 400 Cheetah and I think it would have been close with the 400, now he has the 535 from TRINITY and it would eat the K&T's alive Quote
sredish Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 When you guys say it flies/rips, where is the added power, more low and mid or mostly top? I'm interested in a 420 kit, but I'm wanting to boost torque. Quote
BansheeBrian Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Got a bud who has the 400 and it seems to erupt off the line when you hit the gas. I'm gonna race him and find out how tough the motor really is. Quote
cjm02ram Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Bansheebrian do you have your stroked jetted dead on? I would like to know how you do against a 400cheetah. If you are evn close to him I will be impressed. I know my jetting is off but I dont think I would stand a chance against the 400cheetah I have seen Quote
Daren Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Chris, thanks for the compliments. Hopefully I'll be able to get to St. Joe this weekend. If not, I'm screwed for two more weeks. . .in a wedding the 18th. Unless I could go Sunday the 19th?? I'll let you know. Later, Daren Quote
cdw Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 I run flat track with my passion and before I had my motor built Jim told me with his motor it will take a 535 cheetah, stroked to beat it. In my opinion you should waste that 400. Quote
