For trails, I'd get some ptr mids....Next in line would be some fmf sst's, then dmc or Bills. Stay away from pc, toomey, trinity, cpi or other high rev pipes. They won't work as great on trails and you'll be clutching it a lot more. Quote

Oilsmoke Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Pc's are good all around pipe But if does favor dunes more than trial, But they have a more over all power spread than cpi's or tommey so they be a better pick for what you posted and there little cheaper to buy. Quote
Noob Banshee Posted August 28, 2004 Author Report Posted August 28, 2004 Well i just got a set of T5's for free they are not in bad shape ....what should i do. Quote
prichard9966 Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 it sounds like you've found your pipes. Quote
Holyman Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 I ride only trails and some of them are so rough they are at a crawl and I would STILL run the T5's. You will get used to using them down low and nothing beats the rush of opening it up and really getting some speed. The way I see it, you will never wish you had more low and always wish you had more top. When you have the front end stuck down in some ditch the last thing you want is for it to kick into the power band too early. The Banshee is never gonna be a mountain goat and the T5's will do just fine for trails. It's a huge disappointment to get to the dunes and wish you had a little more ummf on top and if you get low end pipes, that's exactly what will happen. Quote
decon Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 i got a question. how did you get some t5's for FREE ? Quote
SheeOfGlamis27 Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 i run fatty's and they are sick, they give you more bottom and midrange which is awesome for trails. but now i only do sand dunes so i'm thinking of switching to t5's or t6's. Quote
Big Blue Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Well i just got a set of T5's for free they are not in bad shape ....what should i do. Since they are free run them, if not them and it was my money i would buy ptr mids. Quote
sredish Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Dyno curves for : T5's T6's CPIs Shearers Fatties HP Sheet Torque Sheet You'd be surprised at how close the curve is for the Fatties and the T5s. Quote
itsmyforte Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 (edited) sredish, on those tests do you know if each pipe was rejetted or just stuck on there and pulled a run? thats amazing how close the T5 and Fatty's are. Edited August 28, 2004 by itsmyforte Quote
